You managed to climb in your flip flops, with the help of a Bedouin. You take in the beautiful and breathtaking scenery, but now it's time to climb down and go back to camp. You are frozen...stiff...and cannot move...did I mention I am afraid of heights ? Long story short, yes, I made it down safe and sound and no I will never rock climb in the dessert, in my flip flops again! Most days of the week you can find me motivating, influencing and shaping young minds. As someone who has always loved learning, teaching and being with children, capturing teachable moments; what could be better? Well, maybe just a few things. Not to say that being in a classroom with 28 grade 5 students doesn't keep me on my toes, I do make time for doing the things I like and spending time with the people I care about. I love hitting the gym after a busy day at work. I am a bit of a gym nut and I am involved in several different classes that keep me motivated and strong. Also, I enjoy jogging and going for walks. I do take time to listen to music, read, cook and go for coffee (along with a good conversation and laughter); this will loosen me up for the week-end. Waking up Saturday morning, having breakfast in my p.j.'s, cleaning, going to the gym and making plans with family and friends, or having a quiet night in, is my way of winding down from a long week at work. I have an amazing life and want to share it with a great person. I am in a good place, happy and secure. I know how to balance hard work, fun and adventure. I love trying new activities and visiting new and interesting places. I like people who have brains, humour, wit, spunk, self-confidence (not narcissism), resilience, strength of character, a willingness to learn and be taught (humility), those who have been through some hardships in life and pushed through it (I am not going to make your lemonade for you). My nature is generous, sensitive and always sweet. My friends know me as an honest, responsible, genuine and a kind person. I am someone who looks at life challenges as lessons from which we can grow and become stronger. The perfect match for me should be a down to earth, open-minded, honest and a genuine person who is active both physically and mentally, enjoys a healthy lifestyle, has similar interests, family values, is ready for a serious committed relationship and is open to the idea of having children. I guess some people don't get life without a phone permanently planted to or near them at all times of the day/night. Sure, I hear my phone ring or chime but I am one that does set the electric device down and walk away. Its a phone, right? lol I think I might be venting.. hehehe sorry... ***Hello? are you there?***No! I'm over here and my phone is over there. I'm not reading text messages right now, I'm living life..... lol ok I'm done. Maybe I should get to my point though..? I'm not going to be the one that wants to "text" or talk to you if we don't at least click on here first. I mean "really click". I am honest to a fault. I say what is on my mind before I realize someone’s feelings might be hurt. “Its better to know how to learn then to know.” Although I do enjoy sharing “know how.” I seek knowledge and wisdom and don’t like feeling as if my wings have been clipped, “being held back.” Even in a restrictive situation, I tend to never lose hope. I am ambitious and optimistic and continue to be so even when my hopes feel heavy. My friends say that I am honorable, honest, trustworthy, generous and sincere. I balance loyalty with independence. I am full of energy and adventure. I think it is VERY important to involve my children in a lot of different stimulating activities. I enjoy seeing them have a good time and enjoy sharing good times with them. I am not a big fan of other people bossing my children around. I am their boss. I wouldn’t jump in and start bossing your children around and I expect that same respect. I am very close to my kiddos and as with every good parent, they do come first. I’m not one to pay a sitter every day of the week to go out and meet new people or to bar hop. If there is a connection and I feel as if it could go beyond “chatting”, then I would LOVE to break free and go out on a fun date. Also, with that being said, I AM a single mom. I pay ALL the bills, pay for ALL of my kids clothes, pay for the gas to take them places and to keep them fed well. My point is, I have turned down a date or two because of the simple fact of NOT being able to budget a babysitter in my funds. It would be nice if some of you fellas would offer to cover the sitter cost once in a while. (((hint hint)))….
