I am a single mom to a 3 year old girl. I love to read, write and cook. I'm an English and history teacher without a classroom, so I substitute teach and work as a freelance technical editor. I love hanging out at home or taking part in the local activities. Love finding fresh things I can go home and cook up. (Most of the time it all tastes good, but since I like to experiment more than follow a recipe, a pizza has had to be ordered a time or two.)A perfect evening for me is where I have prepared a big meal and have those I love around the table for, eating, enjoying drinks and talking. I can go from watching Deadliest Catch to Big Bang Theory to a BBC period-drama. Same with my books. I might close a young adult novel and decide to read a memoir or classic next.
