Updated ***Okay.. after being on this site for about a year now I've learned a whole hell of alot.. First one being everyone stops for a pretty face but will not take the time to read what we write here.. This is an online "dating" site and meant to be exactly that.. A "screening" process so to speak. If you dont take the time to read what a girl has to say then I'm certain you aren't looking for something with substance....I am single by choice. Long term is ultimately my goal. I'm not into flings or encounters. I am however in no hurry to settle down and make the mistake of "settling" in the process. I have owned my own business for the past 4 years and recently sold it to finish pursuing my Masters degree. I'm no stranger to love. I was married once and happily so.. So no I am not some "bitter" woman that has been done wrong that punishes the next man. I consider myself smart, confident and educated. I have a very loyal and compassionate side but have no fear of standing up for something that I believe in. I also believe in old school respect. Touch a woman's mind before her body and you open up AMAZING possibilites.. I would love to take in some live music and some wine. Two of my favorite things. I'm also a fan of live comedy and yes UFC !!

I have always winced at the thought of online dating… but I’m giving it a try. Since there aren’t many other options, I have come to the conclusion that meeting people here might not be the worst idea. So, here goes…Despite being very busy, I make it a point to find the time for doing the things I like and spending the time with people who I care about. I like people who have brains, humor and wit, spunk, self-confidence (not narcissism), resilience, strength of character, a willingness to learn and be taught (humility), those who have been through some sh-t in life and pushed through it (I am not going to make your lemonade for you). I am not offended by a dirty joke and can dish out one of my own. I am independent but far from being a feminist. Sarcasm is a spice of life, so bring it on. Basically I love life and I love living life. I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, restaurants, laughing, going to cultural or sporting events, and socializing with quality people. Its just better living and sharing life with someone else. I am old fashioned to a certain degree. I laugh every chance I get. I have a love for the outdoors and anything that involves me being on the water. Coffee. Campfires. A challenge. Ok...Here goes nothing! Well I guess my friends would say I am a honest, trustworthy, kind, funny and overall nice woman. I wish I had a dollar for everytime that sentence is probably posted on here! But all joking aside, I try to be the type of person who see the glass as half full and am looking for someone without negative opinions to join me. I enjoy owning my own home and take pride in its appearance. I love to spend the early morning gardening and drinking coffee and the afternoon lounging at the pool reading. I am comfortable with an elegant night on the town but can also appreciate a home cooked meal before curling up on the couch for a movie. I enjoy weekend get-a-- they just seem to have more romance. Ok...so now what I am looking for. My wish list would include someone that is honest but still knows enough to say when asked that I look good in this outfit (LOL!) Also someone that is smart with a good financial head on their shoulders (this doesn't mean rich...just not thousands in debt), someone who isn't a couch potatoe but who likes to explore new things whether it be a festival in the city or a hiking trail in the country. Also a romance gene amongst your DNA wouldn't hurt as well - flowers sent to my office for no reason, dancing with me while we cook dinner or better yet surprising me with theatre tickets after a hectic work week.PS - Pet allergies need not apply...they were here first! Drinks...what else? I know how original?
