I am someone who loves to open a bottle of wine with friends, with a possible game night on the agenda or going to see a live music show or maybe go out for some nice local brews. Friends and family are important to me. I'm a born and raised Vancouverite so I have a pretty solid network. I'm not the run off to whistler every weekend type, more the survive the rain and soak in the rays, gelato on the drive, live and breath the ocean air, mountain views type. This is my home. I have traveled a fair bit and experienced many different countries and cultures...Fingers crossed more to come.I like the idea of trying to make a difference in the world around us. I myself work hard but think life is for enjoying so making time for the occasional weekend away or a night on the town is an important release. It would be great to enjoy this with a partner. Kids are something I very much want. Though I'm not rushing out to have a baby with just anyone, it's important for me to be with someone that shares this wish.Over all I am a easy going happy light hearted person I love my friends and am looking for someone to share/build a life with. So I reread my profile and thought that I sounded stuffy, so I decided to edit it a bit and be more me.If you were to ask my friends about me, they would probably tell you that I am caring and compassionate and that I am a really good friend. (At least I hope they would say this.)My family and friends are the most important things in my life. I am also very fortunate to be one of those people who absolutely loves their job. I am a high school teacher and I spend a lot of time trying to do it well, but I am learning to take some time for myself. I curl in the winter, and read a lot. I love movies and do watch a fair bit of television, but I also like to go boating or redecorate/paint my place when the mood strikes. One of the perks that I have is chunks of time off, so I like to spend some of that time traveling. I have been lucky to have traveled to several different countries and it has just made me want to travel more.I really like my life, but wouldn't mind finding someone to share it with.
