You never know who you might meet and how they might affect your life. I've been alone for a LONG time and I know that I'm at the point where I want to share things with someone else. I'm a busy and crazy active girl and I always have fun stuff going on that I want to share with someone else. But I also like a little old fashioned romance and I hate being the only one doing the "inviting", which seems to be the case after the first date. I like Men with confidence and who go after what they want. I appreciate a man who takes "control" and wants to be in charge, whatever the situation. I am type A in business, but I don't want to be the "pants" in a relationship. I like a MAN who is rough around the edges, likes to get dirty, can take me in the backcountry and "wow" me with his outdoor skills. (I do have a "type" that I tend to go for- rugged with the facial hair...looks hot in jeans and a tee shirt and baseball hat. But I've been wrong before! Maybe that's the problem?)I am a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo and in 1st degree in tactical self-defense. Im looking for a new school to train with right now...and I'mMissing training!!(No, I won't kick your ass, so don't even ask) and I also see a trainer 2 days a week. So that being said, being active and being in somewhat good shape is important to me. I need someone who can keep up or even better- challenge me to keep up with them!!I have a daughter and she is my priority and my heart. She is with me most of the time and we are always doing something to keep us entertained and busy (when we aren't at tkd that is). She is also a 2nd degree black belt and she trains with me. We are super close and frankly, she totally rocks! I think that kids are the best thing ever!I absolutely LOVE water- and if I could live on a boat, I probably would. I am an advanced scuba diver and I love to go on dive trips. I have been to some greats destinations, but there are so many more I need to see! Never dove before? Okay, yes, I will be patient and wait for you to get certified.Some of my favorite activities? I love concerts (especially outdoors), REAL games (I am a season ticket holder), movies, just playing around at the park, long drives, anything in the mountains (hiking, camping, bbq-ing,), snowmobiling, boating, scuba, four- First dates are always interesting- so whatever makes you comfortable! I don't like coffee though- so lets not make it a coffee date, please?I'm always looking for something new to try.....

I am someone who loves to open a bottle of wine with friends, with a possible game night on the agenda or going to see a live music show or maybe go out for some nice local brews. Friends and family are important to me. I'm a born and raised Vancouverite so I have a pretty solid network. I'm not the run off to whistler every weekend type, more the survive the rain and soak in the rays, gelato on the drive, live and breath the ocean air, mountain views type. This is my home. I have traveled a fair bit and experienced many different countries and cultures...Fingers crossed more to come.I like the idea of trying to make a difference in the world around us. Whether it is through helping friends or something on a more globally minded front...I try. On a less serious note I'm a big culture nerd. I love love love movies and music.; I have a variety of "likes" when it comes to entertainment.Reading is a big passion of mine. I love fiction with a smattering of mystery and autobiography. Recent books: anything and everything I'm a verbivore (The hunger games) .... my parents are librarians enough said.I have reached the point were I am ready to start a serious relationship. I myself work hard but think life is for enjoying so making time for the occasional weekend away or a night on the town is an important release. It would be great to enjoy this with a partner. Kids are something I very much want. Though I'm not rushing out to have a baby with just anyone, it's important for me to be with someone that shares this wish.Over all I am a easy going happy light hearted person I love my friends and am looking for someone to share/build a life with.
