About Me

I choose my shoes for comfort rather than fashion. I will wear blue jeans and t-shirts over skirts or dresses. I go through phases where I like to put on make-up, fix my hair, and get dressed up, but more often than not I prefer the route of "Plain Jane," unless of course I'm going out for a night on the town. I don't really care for shopping, though I have rare occasions where I actually enjoy it. I don't really want children (though someday - I'm told - that may change, so maybe it shall), and I don't give in to the 'typical' girls ideas of marriage. I really don't see the point of a piece of paper, and who says what 'typical' girls are anyway. I'm not what some would call a "girly girl," but I am still a woman.I enjoy football but I don't make it a point to watch every game every weekend. If I'm going to drink, I'll take beer over wine of liquor. I'm not big on cooking, but can throw-down in the kitchen if and when I feel like it. I try to eat healthy, so I prefer eating at home most of the time over eating out. If I eat out, it likely won't be fast food. I love my job... it's dirty and distusting and it intrigues me. I am passionate, dedicated, driven, indecisive (to a point), strong minded (maybe even stubborn at times), and as my sister says... I tell it like it is when it needs to be told.I love movies of all kinds, including the occasional "chick flick," but I prefer action, adventure, comedy, drama, horror, and even sci-fi. I'm not good at keeping up with dates, birthdays, or anneversaries, and am somewhat forgetful in general, but oddly I remember some of the wierdest things from ages ago. I'm not that great at keeping up with people/old friends, but I still hold them close to my heart. I don't care much for public display of affection, but still want attention, affection, and passion when I'm in a relationship. This is who I am and I would not change it. I've lived through lots of different and difficult experiences and would not change those either because it has made me the woman I am today.Please don't add me to your favorites. That's just creepy, especially if you don't have the balls to send me a message. Speaking of messages... "hi" won't cut it. I won't even respond to that. If you can't speak (write) intelligently, or can come up with nothing better than "ur sexi. I lik wut I c. Lts hook up," (true story) then move on. I'm a pretty upbeat person and don't associate with negative people.     Some things that make me happy- My family. My job. Spending time with my friends. (especially on the nights when we dont have any real plans, and somehow have the best night ever). Vacations. Books that are so good, I can read them cover to cover in 24 hours. Summer saturdays, The farmers market in the morning, then the gym, and no other plans (beyond maybe some quality time spent poolside). Board games... I may be a little competitive...I live downtown, and feel like there is always something fun to do or see. Whether its a block party, concert or restaurant, I'm usually up for anything. I also really like entertaining. It doesn't matter if its an impromptu game night, or my annual holiday party, I love traditions and sharing them with others. What else...I have two sides, I can be a girlie-girl, but I am also a Miss Fix It with a tool chest and recently got a huge thrill from fixing my sink. I like getting dressed up and having a really great dinner with a nice glass of wine, but also love drinking beer, eating wings and watching the Ravens! Honestly I have found that you can spend a long time getting to "know someone" on a dating site and then you meet and you figure out pretty quickly if you are actually interested in them or not. Texting and *** generally my favorite forms of communication for that reason ( though I do plenty of both) I just prefer to meet for a coffee or drink, have a conversation and see what happens!
