I moved to the area a few years ago from a small town in Central VA. I'm definitely a country girl at heart, but I can hold my own in the big city. I spend my weekdays working, going to the gym, and taking classes for my MBA. Occasionally I'll hit up a happy hour, but I usually save my going out for the weekend. I'm a warm weather girl. A total beach bum. I'll take a weekend trip to the beach, lake, river...any body of water...at any time. I love to travel as often as possible. And I'm a huge sports fan, both watching and playing. Football is my favorite to watch and volleyball is my favorite to play. I also enjoy golfing. I'm awful, but I like to try! I recently got a road bike so you get bonus points if you're into cycling. I'll read any good book...currently it tends to be text books :( but hopefully I can read a few for pleasure on some beach trips this summer! Rock, country, and definitely 80s hair bands are the concerts I don't want to miss! What am I looking for you might ask???? I want to start by making friends. I want someone to go with me to the driving range, walk around DC for the day, or just hang out and a watch movie. I'd like someone who can challenge and engage me mentally, someone who can put up with my sarcasm, and someone who can make me laugh...and who will laugh at my jokes...even the the bad ones! ;)Honesty is key for me. I give nothing less and expect the same in return. In the spirit of honesty, I should give the disclaimer that I am only attracted to white guys. I am not trying to be rude or narrow minded, but I like what I like...just being honest. Also, if you're looking for a random hookup or friends with benefits, you're out of luck here. I don't want anyone wasting their time thinking otherwise. I'm straightforward, honest, intelligent, driven, sassy, funny and confident. If you can handle that, then I'd like to hear from you. Anything else you wanna know, just ask...I'm an open book! If it's nice out, let's go for a walk, do something outside so we can talk and get to know each other. My family and friends are very important to me and come first in my life and have always been there for me. I've been divorced for 12 years now. I've been through too much to let a man control me now. You only live once. In May of ***, I was diagnosed with AML(Acute Mylogenous Leukemia). I had 2 or 3 rounds of chemo and I went into remission right afterwards. And thanks to my only older brother, in October of ***, I was able to have a BMT(BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT). Without that, GOD only knows what might have happened to me. I am doing alot better now, even though I have my good days and bad days, but who doesn't? The docs down here still haven't released me yet but when he does then maybe I can start working or going to school. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure what I'm looking for on here. I guess someone who is nice, funny is def a plus, not into playing headgames, not the jealous type. I'm also not looking for any one night stands or booty calls, If I wanted that I wouldnt need to put an ad on here to get it. Yes I have been through alot in my life, but i wont bore everyone with details on what. Anyway thats all for now and the rest is on a need to know basis and if I think you need to know, then I might tell you, depends on how nice I'm feeling....just kidding.
