I'm a librarian, but I'm also outgoing, fun, spontaneous when you least expect it, socially active, and have a overall positive outlook on life. I'm also usually the person who makes a fool of themselves in a room of quiet people that don't know each other well to break the ice. I don't work in a public library (and probably never will***I'm actually a librarian on Bay Street and am loving the opportunities and challenges that my career provides on a daily basis!How am I not a stereotypical librarian? I very rarely wear cardigans but do wear blazers and suit jackets regularly at work, am pretty outgoing (though sometimes soft spoken unintentionally), love concerts and seriously rocking out to good music, can drink most of my librarian friends under the table, most of the shoes I own are not "practical", I'm busy most week day evenings between social and professional activities, lived in St. I do not know how to knit or crochet, I don't wear glasses (anymore - laser eye surgery about 5 years ago), and I never shush people; I'm probably the loudest person in our little library. I'm also pretty darned technology proficient, though this is becoming more common for librarians. Yes, I do have a cat and love to read. I'll give you that!I'm here because: I'm looking for someone who enjoys great conversations and debates, is supportive of a hard working and career driven woman, is confident and responsible, and has both personal and professional goals for himself. I'm also looking for someone who strives for a balanced life between work, personal time, and time with family and friends. I realize that that's a high order, but what's really important to me is effort and open communication in a relationship. Hey guys,I consider myself an extremely easy going and laid back person, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to work hard and get the important stuff done. It may mean I'm a horrible procrastinator though sometimes, but on a positive note, I work extremely well under pressure. The important things to me right now are my career, family and friends... Big surprise. Like so many people I decided to pursue teaching and it's been a bit of a hard go, but I'm happy to say I've finally landed a spot on the supply list starting in September.-11, starting my own small tutoring business and working in Tourism Marketing... Interesting stuff I know.. So not surprisingly, I love to travel and meet new people. The most exciting thing about life is, you never know what the next exciting thing is going to be! And sometimes it doesn't even have to be that exciting as long as you have awesome people around you. In general I love cottage life, as well a city nightlife. In the winter I like to make the best of things and go skating... I used to ski but unfortunately haven't been in a few years. You might be wondering why I'm on meetville... and I wonder that a lot too because, not to be too negative but I really hate it lol. Theoretically I'd like to meet someone nice, be friends and perhaps more. I'm not looking for the hook up scene which seems like the overwhelming majority of meetville. Not that I think you're awful for trying, it's just not for me. So I guess I'm want someone who has similar goals and values as me, likes to joke around and lives their life by the golden rule.Cheers :D
