About Me

I coach youth hockey, which means I drink a lot of coffee. I also coach (and play) adult women's hockey, which means I drink a lot of beer. If I were the kind of coach who threw tantrums and screamed wildly at my players, I would run the risk of spilling. And I believe that wasted beer, discarded coffee, and general yelling are all counterproductive. My dating philosophy is pretty similar to my coaching philosophy: I am insightful and deliberate when I need to be, and I love the rush when things just click. Also, it should involve beer and/or coffee.I am most attracted to guys who are in charge of their own lives – I don’t want to be the only reason you get up in the morning. At the same time, there is no better feeling than enriching each other’s day. Yes, I enjoy contact sports, and yes, I may have a burning desire to own a motorcycle (a super fast one); however, at the end of the day, I study traumatic brain injury for a living. If we ever find ourselves staring adoringly into each other’s eyes, I’m probably going to also be checking your pupils. It’s a bonus, really. Looking for an awesome guy who knows the difference between puppy love and a real connection, who knows that a danglefest doesn't involve creepy photos, and who gets that, if you just absolutely love women in sexy 4-inch heels, in this case, you're going to have to be about seven feet tall for that to work out. Being good at what you do gets my attention - being decisive, smart, and making me laugh keeps it.
