About Me

Maybe the internet is where the good men are hiding out... I'm still plenty more tough than your native Cali girl, but my NY fam thinks I've turned into a wimp.. I'm guessing the truth is that I fall somewhere in the middle. I'm extremely kind and nurturing - shirt off my back type of person. Which makes me vulnerable and susceptible to being taken advantage of, but whatever, it comes with the territory. I'll never stop giving. As previously mentioned, I'm tough.I can change my own tire and I'm not afraid of power tools, but I will still turn heads in a pair of heels. I'm adventurous and curious, I love honest/stimulating conversations about anything. Particularly science, nature, psychology, political trends and entrepreneurial endeavors. I try to spend my days growing, learning, improving, reading everything I can get my hands on, appreciating the now, indulging in simplicities, saying "yes" as often as possible, smiling at every possible moment, exploring new food, wine, cities, books and people. I believe that less is usually more, and most of us already possess everything we need to be happy. (With the exception of certain things that I don't consider music. *cough*LilWayne*cough*). Actually, I put a good deal of time into listing my "interests" up top, so if you're curious as to what type of activities/music/etc. I like, you can find them up there.Things I don't like are:Smokers, spelling/grammar errors, liars, people who aren't nice to strangers, people who blame others/the world for their misfortunes, people who don't like children, roaches, cilantro (I'm allergic), most of today's Top 40, those new baggy leggings some girls are wearing that are loose on the top and tight at the bottom (wtf??), the fact that chivalry is probably dead, super picky eaters, owners of poorly behaved dogs, bath tubs, and tequila. .......Up until this point I've always said/thought I knew exactly what I wanted - and maybe I do. Maybe that's exactly what I'll end up with. But at this juncture in my life I'm really open to just seeing where the wind takes me. Don't get me wrong, I very much want to fall into all-consuming love with a super sexy, romantic, man's man and make a bunch of babies one day, but I believe there's a lot of truth to that saying "Man plans and God laughs". So I'm just going with it for now. When it comes down to it, I'm really just an ordinary girl (ordinary = pretty unique and actually kind of wonderful), looking for an ordinary guy to have some extraordinary experiences with. And I think where ever that takes us is right where we're supposed to be.And as we bid adieu, I leave you with this:"When you're tired of relationships, try a romance." As long as the conversation is interesting and full of laughter, the rest doesn't really matter, right?

I'm a writer-turned-scientist (working on my PhD). I spend my days trying to be clever enough to trick Nature (especially the ocean) into telling me secrets so I can steal them, publish them, and build a scientific career out of them ;). When I'm not working, I spend a lot of time driving around LA & OC seeking out adventures -- I'm part hard-nosed scientist, part thinker, part dreamer, and I hopelessly romanticize things that I like.Fun facts:I'm neither a coffee, chocolate, nor a beer snob -- but... I'm an artisan dark and bitter, on all accounts :)I'm independent financially -- obligatory symbiosis freaks me out :). I come from a long line of housewives and ultra-conservative, religious republicans... I seem to keep breaking the mold on all accounts.I'm the first scientist in my family, and no one understands what it is I do. I'm an ocean biogeochemist;-- I probably know less about dolphins than the average American.I love the ocean, but its vastness scares me to death. I love history, museums, plays, cirque du soleil, low-fi music from artists no one has ever heard of. I also love just sitting around and doing nothing. I get the best ideas when I do nothing at all.I love my friends and I love nurturing their talents and aspirations.A filthy habit of mine ***that I probably won't give up -- is driving long distances with small-minded goals, like getting lunch at that little hole-in-the- Man, that sounds really good right now. I'm a climate criminal with an environmental science degree, I admit it.I'm single by choice right now and I'm loving the freedom. I think I secretly crave something more again someday, but it's not necessarily my MO here. Enough about me - let's talk about you!

Woman. 26 years old. Zodiac sign: Leo.

Looking for: man. In age: 23-33

I'm looking for someone between the age of 26 to 35. The reason I say this is for some reason 50 year old men like to try and write and I don't like wasting my time or yours. I'm a fun loving person:) I can have fun doing anything. I like to be outside. In the summer you will find me swimming, hiking, camping, and anything u can think of outside. By no means do I sit inside in the winter. I love snow!!!!!! I'm very independent and do not need anyone to take care of me. I take pride in everything i do. Im a 110% worker. I enjoy learning new things. I always say "teach me once and I'll remember forever" The most important thing in this world to me is my son. He is the love of my life and no one will ever come between that. I love my life and everything it has to offer. I'm hoping to find someone with the same outlook on life. No Debbie downers ! One of my biggest pet peeves is when somebody judges a book by its cover. A long term thing is ideal but I think the first step to that is having a friendship.
