I recently took a step away from teaching and took a management position within Target. I have my degree in Elementary Education, but unfortunately haven't been able to find a teaching job. So far my time with Target has been positive and I'm really enjoying the position and challenge that this new career has brought me.During my weekdays, I am usually pretty busy, and can be a litte bit of a home body after work. I do go to the gym most nights after work. I really enjoy going to Spin classes, which I find to get a great challenge! I enjoy spending time with friends, getting some drinks or appetizers, going to movies, reading a good book, going for a run, or doing something spontaneous. I LOVE Spring and Summer so I'm usually outside when it warms up. I love to run, go to the beach, or just go for walks. I recently traveled to the Domincian Republic which I enjoyed a lot! I hope to continue traveling and experience different cultures and places :)I really enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. Im outgoing, fun, talkative, sometimes kinda nerdy, and sometimes sassy ;) some people might say I'm a girly girl, but I do also like adventurous things too!I am strong minded and know who I am and who I am looking for.I like having conversations with someone who can challenge my thinking, but who also enjoys listening to my ideas as well. I am looking for someone who is settled in their career and who is motivated and goal orientated. Someone who is active and likes to try new things. Right now I am a full-time graduate student finishing up my last semester of school. It's a very exciting time in my life! I am also making time to have fun and learn some new skills and hobbies and meet new people in order to balance out the intensity of thesis writing. Due to my graduate courses, I have a pretty odd skill set. Skeletal analysis (human and faunal) and mineral identification is not usually a top consideration for most folks. :) I'm also decent at learning new *** languages, DJing, teaching, and am somewhat artistically inclined.Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and foodMy very first job in high school was working in an independent book store. The employees were allowed to "gently borrow" books as often as they wanted. The pay there wasn't great, but it was such a good trade off!. I like reading both fiction and non-fiction. Fiction genres: Mystery, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Horror (basically escape reading!). Non-fiction: History, Archaeology, Botany, Comparative Religion.As far as movies go, I also worked part-time in an independent video rental shop during my undergrad years. The employee price for renting movies was 50 cents. We were always recommending titles to the customers and each other. I tend to like film noir, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, comedy, horror, thrillers, and the occasional documentary. A couple of favorite films of mine: The Taste of Tea, L.A.Favorite show of all time: MST3K. I also love the X-Files...it makes me nostaglic for my childhood since my dad and I watched the show religiously together.....Hmmm...food preferences...I am definitely an omnivore (sorry animals, you are too delicious). I also enjoy baking for others. Even though I am an adventurous eater, I miss my grandmother's country cooking the most. I would love to learn more about this city from the people who love it
