About Me

Well, I'm often told I'm not like other girls. I can usually hold a pretty decent conversation without talking about celebrities, shopping, etc... I like beer, football, military movies, cars (I know how to change a tire and how to change the oil in my car--not saying I actually do that lol but I do know how!!) I don't expect a man to "take care" of me- I know what hard work is, and I'm not afraid of it. I worked 3 jobs, went to college full time, and raised my daughter--by myself for almost 3 years, but have raised her by myself since she was 7 months old. Since I've finished school (for now...) I am still raising her alone, and working full time. It's almost a stubborn characteristic that I'm so independent, and it takes awhile for me to give that part of me up and let a man do things for me...I work full time in the medical field as a back office assistant for a surgeons private practice... no, I don't go into the OR with him, but I do assist in office procedures, set patients up for surgeries, pre-op/post-op visits, etc... if you're really that interested, I'll tell you more about it later. :) Luckily I have a Monday thru Friday job, but some days can run a little late... Sunday mornings I'm in church, other than that my weekends are pretty tame. My free time is usually spent at home. My neighbors are my friends and we often just chill on the back patio with each other's company and a few ice cold beers while the kids play. I don't go out much these days. I blame that on my age... reached 30 and it's all been down hill! Haha. :) My daughter is 7, and her dad isn't really a part of her life, so it's usually just her and I. There's tons more to me, but I don't think typing a novel about it now is really the best way to get to know me... feel free to send a message. But please, if you're going to send a message, please don't just send a "hey" or "hi" or "what's up"-- that's not giving me much of a conversation starter! Apparently I need to put this out there--yes, I have good pictures of myself on here. Let's be honest--who's going to put up terrible pictures of themself when they are basically trying to "sell" themself to someone.. Yes- I am a pretty girl-- no, I'm not conceited or anything like that-just don't want anyone to think that I feel like I'm ugly... But I'm also a big girl- far from skinny. Not really sure I have the best pictures to show my "body".... Just thought I would put that out there... Anything can usually be turned into a good time. The only thing I ever ask of a first date is not to be lead on--if you aren't interested, make it be known. There are ways of doing that without being a jerk.Believe me, I'll do the same! We're all adults, and honestly, this girl may be a child at heart, but she's done playing games. :)

    I am working and also go to school full time so I do happen to stay busy. I figured this may permit me to meet someone that I would enjoy spending my free time with.I'm up for friends and to take things from there..I don't like how I have to choose one thing " i'm looking for" I'm not going to sit here and describe myself to the T and what i like b/c then you can change your ways/personality to fit what i'm looking for.     I enjoy shopping, whether it be for myself or with friends, trying new restaurants, exercising, listening to live music and swing dancing. I love to play sports (volleyball and tennis especially). Bars and clubs are not my thing and that is not where I intend on finding a potential mate either. Since I generally run in the same path daily, this is maybe a way that I can meet someone to become friends with and see where that takes us. A good first date would be going out for coffee or taking a walk in the park and just being able to get to talk to get to know each other. I'm not hard to please and just enjoy a man to take charge and make a decision on where we could go. (I'm up for anywhere except a club ,bar or sushi!) I personally think that a movie on a first date is the worst idea ever seeing how you can't talk and get to know each other...just sayin'!
