About Me

Hiya. This is the third time for trying this out. I hope it actually works out for good this time.I'm not here for one night stands or hooking up, that's high school stuff and I'm far from being in high school, so do me a favor and move on if that's all you're looking for. Please do not message me if you have plans to move within the near future. I'm not looking to meet someone, fall for them and then they just leave. Been there, done that and I don't want to do it again. So have the curtesy to move on to someone who might just be looking to make a new friend and that's all, because I'm not that girl. If I meet someone and that's what happens, fine, but it's not what I'm looking for. I am 27 & I have enough friends, I'm at that point in my life where I want to find someone and have a real, committed relationship with and possibly settle down with that person. I want someone who isn't going to run away if things get real. Basically I want a man, not a boy. I'm just a simple girl who loves the simple things in life. I'm pretty easy to please. I do some freelance photography on the side when I can but my main job right now is working for a cupcake shop/truck (which I'm on workmans comp right now, I got hurt in July and they haven't given me the okay to go back yet). My hobbies are photography, reading, writing, singing (even though I'm not amazing, I think my voice is pretty). My goals and aspirations. As far as my personal life goes I'd like to meet someone, fall in love, settle down and have my own family (no time soon though, I don't want to jump into that). My professional goals are to stay at the cupcake shop as long as they'll have me, lol, and continue to do photography on the side, possibly dive into some photojournalism and own a shop sometime in the future as well. I have tattoos and piercings and I plan to get more tattoos. I'm a size 16 and I love my body. Christianity is pretty important in my life, I try to live my life like one but I'm only human and I fail at times to do so. I love to travel, haven't had the chance to go outside of the U.S. but I'd love to. I don't have a problem talking to guys in the Military, so Military men don't be afraid to write me, as long as you're not one of those that's moving out of state soon soon and just looking for someone to occupy their time. I love all types of music but I've recently gotten into Ska and Folk. Well, I think that's enough about myself, I don't want to give too much away.I have AIM and messenger.     If one more guy messages me saying I'm cute, I am going to lose it. I do not want to be in the same category as what someone would call their 8 year old niece. I'm very close to my family and friends, they are very important to me and I'm looking for someone who feels the same way about theirs, with similar values. I've reached that point in my life that almost all of my friends are married (some with kids), or in a relationship. They don't have much time to get away with the single girl, or go out on a Friday night to a bar, although, at this point I'm over the bar scene, but I'm down for the occasional drink. I'm beyond the casual dating or hook ups, but I don't expect something to be a relationship after a week lol. I quit smoking a year ago, so I'm looking for a non-smoker like myself, a family oriented person, someone that's beyond the age of clubs and parties and getting drunk, and someone who does not have children yet but wants children. (P.S. If you take shirtless self pics in your bathroom or ones of just you pulling your shirt up to show off your washboard stomach I will laugh at you and you will not get a response.) A first date should never be a movie! You can't have a conversation! Dinner, coffee, I'm fine with anything. Our second date can be an amusement park lol.

    People usually see me as someone who is easily approachable because I am always smiling and laughing. I have a great support system of friends and family. My roommate and I often joke about who is going to get what when we divorce...apparently she gets everything. I love pretty much every genre of music except the heavy metal where it is a constant scream. I tend to be more mellow when I listen to music. I dance like an idiot with no rhythm but I don't care what people think about it. I especially enjoy road-tripping and dancing in the passenger seat. You will usually find my in jeans, a tee shirt and sneakers or summer dresses. People have a tendency to blurt out “you’re tall” why yes I am. Some say freakishly tall since I am taller than the average height for a man in the US. Then you get the mandatory questions about what sport I played since I’m so dog gone tall. I didn’t actually play sports and people find that “interesting”. I love to watch movies and have a ridiculous number of them at my house. I will give any movie a chance but can be critical of them if I didn’t like them. I'm keen on documentaries because I always seem to learn something from them and am a knowledge junkie. I’m also a food junkie. I love to eat and can cook to a certain degree. Sometimes it doesn’t work out how I expected but that is what can be fun about cooking. I try to stay pretty active I work out almost everyday because I walk to and from work. I also like to people watch and the gym can give you some hilarious scenarios to witness. One of my favorite things to do is backpacking with a friend. It is amazing to head out to the backcountry, turn off your phone for a few days and clear your mind. Yes I have seen a black bear while out on the trail; one word can describe that and that word is AMAZING!I love hockey! The Caps are my team since I was raised in VA! No one else in my family likes hockey and I get a lot of flack for loving this sport. I'm definitely a die-hard fan and love going to live games. Nothing comes close to the sounds of ice skates on a fresh sheet of ice. I have a tendency to be so passionate that I convert people who don't like the sport to a fan! I have a B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry looking into maybe going back if for nothing else than just to take random classes since I didn't get to do that when I was actually in college. Not really looking for another degree but I can always change my mind.I can be a little "old school" when it comes to relationships. I like for guys to be at least a little chivalrous. I do tend to wait for the guy to make the first move. I like people who are smart, outgoing and can teach me new things. I do not like passive-aggressive individuals if you need to discuss something with me let’s sit down and work through it but don’t come into a conversation with me with an attitude or a view that you are trying to press on me. I’m a big girl and can make decisions on my own since I know better than most what I need in my life. That being said I do appreciate and take suggestions when people are more knowledgeable in a situation. If you couldn’t tell I talk or I should say type I fair amount. That does increase if I am under pressure or nervous. Anyway If you have anything you want to ask just message me. I am up for pretty much anything. Meeting in one of Richmonds parks for a walk or going to a resturant for lunch or dinner.
