Hi!I'm a 26 year old woman, and I love to do anything creative. I'm currently an art teacher, and I love my job. I love reading (my library card is almost always maxed out) and I love writing. I'm actually working on a series of children's books/apps with my father, which has been a really fun project. I love animals, dogs AND cats (I know, unheard of, right?) and I love conversations with new people. Especially if there's coffee! Some people have been really confused about my religious beliefs, so I just want to add a clarification. I consider myself non-religious, but I DO consider myself spiritual. I meditate and read books about prayer, then go straight to a Carl Sagan book about the scientific workings of the universe. If you don't know what those are, you don't know what you're missing! *** in music: I've been in orchestra for years, so that should tell you something :) I love classical music, classic rock (imho, it doesn't get any better than Led Zeppelin) bluegrass, and songs from musicals, and lots of random celtic/new age stuff. I respect if some of these are not for you, but I hope it's not too off the mark :)I find myself a little bit stuck right now - a lot of my close friends have moved away, pursuing their masters degrees. I'd much rather watch a DVD at home than go clubbing. (I've actually never been clubbing. It sounds exactly like my definition of hell.)Well, that's all I can think of for now. For those that have been in my life and proved that they love and respect me I bend over backwards and do anything I can to help them. My friends have always described me as a sweetheart. I am not high maintenance, I don't think the world revolves around me, I just want to find someone that I can build a life with, and make amazing memories with along the way. I have always worked towards goals and accomplished what I was working towards. I have been working for 14 years and in those 14 years I’ve been without a job for 4 months, 2 different times 2 months each and not by choice. I have heard all the “but the economy sucks” and “no one is hiring” stories and I’m sorry but if you really wanted to work and support yourself you would just go get a job because yes it is just that simple. I work ***hour weeks depending on what needs to get done, this leaves me with plenty of time to do other things. I enjoy going for walks, going to concerts, hanging out at fairs and festivals, going out to eat, stopping at a small corner bar for a few drinks, hanging out with my friends, shooting darts and pool, going fishing, camping (depending on the circumstances I have to be able to shower daily), playing video games, cooking, travelling and I will try anything once. I do watch tv sometimes but it is mostly just background noise while I do other things. I will still snuggle on the couch to watch a movie or show with my guy though, got to have the occasional cuddle. I live alone, always pay my bills on time and take responsibility seriously, you should be the same, not that living with a roommate excludes you. You will need to be an animal lover as I have a puppy (Foxy) and a grumpy old cat (Tripper). I don’t like to leave Foxy in her cage for too many hours in a day so I either find places I can take her with me or I stay home when I can. I'm looking for someone around my age, probably ***. I’d like someone mature enough to understand that loyalty, compassion, and honesty are a priority and not an option. I want someone that has the ability to communicate and work out problems, when I don’t understand something or don’t like something I ask questions and try to work through the issues if your reaction is “quit nagging me” or “I’m not talking about this” or simply storming out of the room, we aren’t going to work, communication is key. I am willing to be there for the right person through thick and thin, I’m honest, outgoing and loyal and would like to find someone that shares these qualities. I am looking for someone that I can grow old with. I want someone that treats me right, do so and give me the chance to show you just how right I will treat you as well.
