About Me

I am an outgoing woman that loves to have fun, but I also enjoy just relaxing at home with friends. I just got a new job and I'm now working only 40 hrs a week. It's a weird adjustment for me, but I'm quickly getting used to it and enjoying it as well. I am looking for someone who has goals and knows what they want in life. I am loving Normal so far and enjoying my classes. I focus on the American idea of jihad and how the media's news rhetoric helps in constructing and reinforcing it. I also study women in Islam. If the topic of jihad or Islam makes you uncomfortable I'm not your girl. My studies have brought me to the conclusion that no one has the right to tell another that their belief in the divine is incorrect, and if you can't accept that and at least be tolerant of others we won't get along.I should probably mention that I'm a vegetarian and have been for 6+ years. However, if you order a steak I will not freak out and call you a murderer (unless we are both just having a lot of fun and I'm just playing around. My friends and I joke about it all the time). I love to cook and even my friends who are die hard meat eaters will eat a vegetarian meal once and awhile, so I guess I'm pretty good at it.I enjoy the outdoors, but I'm not big on sleeping on the ground :/ I love bonfires and sitting around talking and roasting Marshmallows for S'mores (I'm a kid at heart what can I say?). I love to go out and shoot guns when I can. Currently I'm saving to buy a gun, so right now I'm stuck shooting when my friends can go. I have been skeet before and I did pretty well for my first time with a 12g and I even hit targets!I love doing things I've never done before and trying out new stuff. I am a country girl at heart and I love to return to the country when I can; however, I also love the city. I am a KSU fan, but I cheer for KU as long as they are not playing each other. I am a very open person who will answer pretty much any question about myself so feel free to message me. I think a first date should be relaxed and in a place where you can talk freely and get to know the other person. This does not mean it has to be boring though :) I would be up for walking around some place, swimming, gun range, anything that doesn't involve a stuffy setting and having to feel awkward and uncomfortable :)
