First dates are important, second dates are even more important :) Usually on a first date I want to get to know that special someone. I want to see if there is a connection, if we are easily able to connect, and of coarse if there is that flirty intimate feel between me and another woman. I like a 1:1 first date and meeting the friends is an important step down the time once that comfort is there and they have impressed me enough and connected enough to meet the ones who know me best. I think a first date should be fun, relaxed, laid back, and romantic all at once. I would take a date to a restaurant that shows romance, but still relaxed enough for her to be wearing jeans and order her drink of choice. I would love to talk, laugh, and possibly do something fun like a game perhaps. Either some pool even though I am no good at it, arcade type deal, where I can show my crazy dance moves on dance dance revolution (sarcasm), or darts and I can impress her with my quick hands. I also would go for a long walk by some water, water is a great place to get to know someone. Lakes, streams, parks...great place to go on a date. Another first date (and it seems like this is a long date.. haha...) would be to continue to swings and a play ground and just hang out and enjoy the time together. It would be great to have the day and do all of this... but I may need a second date ;)
