I am newly divorced from a short lived marriage, I have an amazing son who is all mine. I have been through a lot in my 31 a lot of changes, the only thing that ever stays the same is family. I'm a homebody who enjoys life's simple pleasures as well as the finer things. I am at times short tempered, but am quick to apologize and see the other side of things. I am very strong-willed; an admirable trait by my thinking, and slightly hard-headed(mixed feelings on that one). My dominant, strong personality might be a turn-off for the caveman type(that is to say the person who has the "caveman" mentality of women are second to men, and all those other antiquated ideas.), but that is his hang-up. I'm sure there are plenty of waify girls out there who would love to have them, and God bless them for it. I have no problem with a man of strong qualities, just so long as he treats me as his equal. My interests may not be those of the typical 30-something, but it doesn't bother me. Right now, I'm looking for a kind, happy, and fun-loving gentleman I'm compatible with to get to know in the hopes that it could grow into something more serious. A person I spend time with should be stable and have a positive outlook on life. I'm a big and beautiful woman. If that's not your cup of tea, then please move on. As hobbies go, I like writing in my journal, playing the occasional video game on my antique PS2, reading whatever strikes my fancy, and going out to dinner and a movie now and then. I also enjoy taking pictures, and plan on taking classes on professional photography very soon.-maker would suit me fine. I'm also a feminist; my ideas are my own and not subject to any pre-described notion as to what woman should be. I have no intention of having children of my own, but would welcome any children a potential partner might have. I know what I like and do my best to have it. I'm a small-town girl, so I am nosy by nature, and if you get to know me I will pepper you with questions about your life and then some. I possess many faults. Some I have been able to curb, and others I have learned to live with. You have to pick your battles, even if its with yourself. I know it sounds cliché, but I would want my ideal match to be my friend as well. If you have that first, all the rest usually falls into place...if its meant to be that is. "Things I like(in random order, and for random reasons)"-horror movies-the old TV show "Unsolved Mysteries"--books about sex and the way humans think(the more you know, the better you can be at anything)-tea(it makes me feel sophisticated for some reason, not to mention tastes better than coffee)--historical dramas(mainly for the costumes, but not limited to)-the color red(its an attention grabber, and I like attention)-watching men eat with their hands(its highly erotic; watch sometime and take notice)-doing arts and crafts with my 4 year old cousin(and being a good/bad influence on her as well)-pink roses(they say "hopeful lust" to me; I don't know why though)-Americanized sushi-the beach; even though I haven't been there in years(yes, shame on me.)-hanging out with my family Maybe I'm old-fashioned and boring, but I still like the whole dinner and a movie thing for a first date. The dinner allows for insightful conversation, and the movie; if things go well, allows for cuddling up in the dark. Now how could either be of those be dull? Of course I am open to other suggestions; I mean people do talk and sit close together in other venues.
