I'm Lisa, and I'm an outdoors-loving, fun, and down-to-earth kind of lady! I have a degree in Wildlife Ecology, and working with animals has always been a passion for me. I milked cows and worked at a stable all through college, and it seems that I left my heart at the farm! I currently work at a forest, leading hikes, teaching kayaking, educating the public, campground cooking, and helping scouts and school groups. In my spare time I volunteer with wildlife rehabilitation and educating at a local organic food farm. Life is too short not to love, and I'm looking for the right man for life! I've been mostly independent in life and do require some alone time for my sanity.- are you adventurous like me?I take care of the family dogs, two small girls (American Eskimo and Chinese Crested Puff), and I also own 5 exotic toxic amphibians and one of their babies. I'm worth getting to know!As far as religion, I was baptized Lutheran, raised and confirmed in the catholic church, but I'm no longer "religious"- I'm very spiritual and in touch with my God through nature. Nature is my church.Living naturally, eating good food, supporting local farmers, limiting waste, utilizing renewable energy, growing my own food, canning and dehydrating, composting, hunting and gathering from the woods, and using food as medicine that will protect me naturally from disease and cancer will be a part of my future. I'm an old soul looking for my mate. Eventually I'd like to live out in the country with at least a hobby farm animal or two; but I'm always active locally and therefore would be involved in the community and social.I'm a "do it yourself" type, so I'd like to have a partner that can help me maintain our future home, vehicles, and possibly the family! I'm not likely to speak to just any guy, and I want to get to know you before I decide to meet you. I'm not likely to jump into marriage, but it's certainly an end goal in mind. The rugged man statement is really just to "weed out" men that are afraid to get their hands dirty - they kind of freak me out :-)I also want a man that I can bring home to my family, because they are important to me as well.
