I am always open to try something new and love when someone has a good suggestion that I may not have thought of on my own. I think the typical "meet for a drink" makes for a good first date. It gives you a chance to chat in person but you aren't stuck anywhere for an extended period of time. I haven't had an horrible first dates but I have some friends that did... However, for a second date, something a little more fun would be in order!
