Like my headline says, I am a bit old fashion.I like to enjoy myself on dates, and love doing things that put both people at ease.Dinner and a movie are alright...but miniature golf, a hike to Rattlesnake Ridge or bowling would be better.Add some twists of unique ideas like a scavenger hunt, kayaking with the whales or hackling a comedian at a club? Pure epicness! :)But, the first step is to start getting to know each other. So, my dust jacket preview...Family is really important to me and we spend a fair amount of time together. We like to play games together, joke and laugh and because there are quite a few of us...a mild dash of chaotic :)I value loyalty, keeping one's word and honest hard work to attain goals.I enjoy anything that makes me laugh, being active and remembering to take life's slow lanes as life already moves fast enough.Oh, and my life is crazy busy these days...so I need people that can keep upOther than that, if I share too much, what will we have left to talk about and learn through interaction?So...what would you like to know? Haha...I sorta already gave thatIn my book, the more unique the more memorable :-)

I am a relatively quiet person, an introvert, and often an observer of the activities of those around me. While my intent when I spend time with family and friends is to be fully engaged, I often get lost in the observation because it is so interesting ... and yes, I am that type of nerd! :-)My friends enjoy my company but probably cannot tell you why and wouldn't necessarily describe me as fun or the life of the party. I have a rapier wit and sarcasm is my first language. Despite this, others are comfortable around me and I often find myself listening to their stories, issues, and troubles. I apparently have very soft shoulders and plenty of compassion.I enjoy watching movies, home improvement shows, and people in their natural habitat . I enjoy spending time with my brother and his family, although I don't do it as much as I would like. I enjoy having small groups over for dinner and board games ... its more fun to me than a loud party in my backyard. I guess that is evidence that I am in my mid-30's. I am a dog person. I can appreciate cats and the humor they inspire, but I like them much better when they live in someone else's home or are shown online. He was also relatively quiet and introverted ... he was a couch potato unless there was a squirrel in the yard... staring up, quietly, with his little tail vibrating. It didn't really wag when he was watching the squirrels, but it was definitely moving.- Best of Friends) and they would tease each other ..... wanting him to come out to play.Hmmmm ... huge paragraph about my dog ... a few sentences about me. That should tell you loads!I have a bicycle, cruiser style, that I haven't ridden very often. I enjoy bowling, swimming, walking, and even working out, although that is not apparent. I haven't been camping or fishing in years, although I enjoy both. I will happily bait my own hook with wriggling worms but I cannot handle the fish ... not logical, but true. As for camping, I am talking tent camping ... sleeping bags on the ground (maybe an air mattress now that I am getting a little older) and camp fires out in the woods where there aren't bathrooms with running water, or bathrooms at all. Dig a hole! But then again, I haven't been camping in quite some time so I may have a change of heart ... I do not like horror movies at all. When I watched 'I am Legend' I felt tense and agitated. My response immediately after was that I needed to watch a happy movie! I hated 'Pulp Fiction'. I found it boring and fell asleep. When I woke up, the movie was still on and was just as boring ... I mention those two movies specifically because my current housemates think I am out of my mind ... it will apparently give you a good indication of my mental state. Oh, if you cannot tell, I enjoy using ellipses ... incorrectly I am sure. :-DMy musical tastes include country (currently on in my car because it irritates my housemates to no end), soft rock, alternative rock, even some of the top 40. I do not enjoy noise bands and somewhere in my recent past, I learned to hate Jazz ... yes, even John Coltrane ... especially John Coltrane. I watch duck football, from the warm comfort of my living room. I limit my housework to one day a weekend so that I can have the other for fun ... I figure I spend enough time working during the week that it shouldn't also consume my evenings and entire weekend. That doesn't mean a live in a filthy mess because I do clean up after myself as a go along, but it does mean that by the end of the week, it will be cluttered and dusty. Eh ... nobody is perfect! I used to be a decent cook but I only enjoy it when there is someone there to cook with ... I need the inspiration I guess.I should probably save some conversation for that meet and greet over coffee (which I don't drink, by the way) ... because if I tell you that my favorite color is blue, we will have nothing else to talk about ... damnit! I hate when that happens.
