About Me

Can I have as my whole summary that you should message me because I am awesome? No, ok...well here then.How I would describe myself? Generic (even though no one else has ever used that word, including my mother who said she never thought that since the day I was born). So I guess uniquely generic. Sure I have a quick wit and can hold intelligent conversations but so says half the other profiles you read today. Speaking of reading, I do love to read and listen to audiobooks as well. I even belong to a book club. It is not the type of book club that is held in ladies living rooms where no one reads the book and *** gossips while eating cookies, it is a legit book club. It is hosted by my local bookstore and while we don't have strong membership, it is a load of fun.And speaking of fun I LOVE baseball. I know living in a football town most people here do not describe baseball as fun but I do! I go to 20 to 25 games a year! My life goal is to go to every single ballpark and so far I checked a few off my list. The good thing about being a Red Sox and Indians fan is that no matter what I hate the Yankees!One of the reasons I like baseball is that I live by the philosophy that the devil takes hold of idle hands. If one doesn't stay busy that is when the trouble starts. Baseball is a sport that has enough downtime that I can work on my hobbies while watching. I enjoy fiber crafting like knitting, crocheting and especially weaving. (Okay so this part of the profile might be a little unique) who else has weaving!?!?!So professionally I am a chef! I love cooking and I have to say I am damn good at it. I do work odd hours but they have settled out a little bit. I work far less night shifts now, which is why I am building this profile, because I have more time to date now Woohoo!...well hopefully. I am hoping to work in the industry a bit longer and then change my focus to teaching culinary arts.Another thing I love is music. When I go too long without my iPod I get a little cranky. I am tone deaf and can't play any *** then again I did ok with the keyboard)(and I bought myself a ukelele to learn) but I love to sing along when no one is around. I am not a fan of pop or rap but I am a fan of everything else. I like acoustic and indie and country and classic rock.I should also mention that I live a car free lifestyle. I am a bad driver, IMHO. Since I can get everywhere I need to go using public transport or my own two feet I have chosen to live without one. This has not impeded my life very much and I will not be relying on anyone for a ride. I do plan on buying a car eventually but so far I have managed for 15 years so why not a few more? Also it is fun to see that I am not alone in this and the number of car free aquaintences keeps growing.In addition to baseball, I am a season ticket holder at Playhouse Square. This is my first year doing it and already signed up for next. I love live shows and concerts. I should mention that since these are all activities that I currently do I am not looking for someone that I will have to drag kicking and screaming to them. I have my people that I go with and if it is something you enjoy and want to do 'great' but if not, I am not concerned. I don't think couples don't have to do everything together.Well there is me in a nutshell. Kinda your every girl but a few interesting quirks! Maybe a ballgame or a cup of coffee to start.
