I do think opposites can attract, but a shared love of interests and hobbies is important to me, or at least a willingness to try? My friends say I have a slightly sarcastic sense of humor, I like to think I'm pretty outgoing, I can also be spontaneous and random at times . . . I have a few younger siblings that are hilarious and keep me laughing often. I love to travel out of the country, and i'm always planning my next trip in my head. Looking forward to seeing how this experience goes . . . . . My ideal first date with someone that I connected with online is in a public place (coffee shop), or at a bar for a drink. If it goes well, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet again. If it doesn't go well, then it is an easy out for both people.

I am a single mother to a beautiful child who is my life, my love, my everything. My life changed for the better because of my child. I also work full time so I would definitely be looking for someone with a similar home life as myself, someone who understands that my child comes first but my heart still has room for that special someone. So, meetville suggested I talk about my hobbies ... hobbies, hmm, what are those?! I don't really have time for hobbies since my little one takes up so much of my time. I do however enjoy a nice glass of wine, watching movies and some tv programs, outdoor activities, reading, shopping, and of course spending time with friends and family. I love to laugh so I am definitely interested in someone with a great sense of humour. Professionally, I have achieved my goal of becoming a teacher. I find my role right now challenging, and no two days are alike. Personally, I acheived my greatest goal in life when I had my child. Although I am proud of my accomplishments, there is definitely still a piece missing in my personal life, which is why I am here! I would love to find that special someone to complete my life. I always find sites like these to be really difficult, especially when asked to write about yourself, or basically, sell yourself in so many words. I think everyone is unique in their own way, and I think dating is a chance to find out for yourself what makes your partner unique, so I don't really want to ramble on here, like I'm filling out an application or something!! I like to get to know people in person, since so much gets lost in translation on these sites! That being said, if you're interested in getting to know me better, I'd love to hear from you!! :) I think the best first dates are something simple, like coffee, drinks, or appetizers. These kind of dates aren't huge time commitments but give a chace to get to know your date a little. They can progress into something more - lunch or dinner and helps to decide what to do for date 2!

Must be able to endure me singing to the radio (or anywhere really), speak sarcasm as fluently as I do, laugh lots, be patient and kind.I may be slightly picky in what I am looking for, but I am a low-maintenance girl - I don't wear make-up or care about getting my hair did. I'm a jeans and tee girl and not afraid to get my hands dirty!I volunteer with a charity that has allowed me to travel twice each to Haiti, El Salvador, the Peruvian Amazon and once to Zimbabwe. Each time we provided free medical care to those people who might otherwise not have access to any medical care. Music is an escape for me. I believe most situations can be expressed or reflected upon with a song. I use music as therapy to deal with all types of situations - if I don't feel my own words would properly express my thoughts or feelings, I usually have a song that does.
