I am a dependable, honest, hard-working, outgoing, and sincere woman. Though I am very happy with my life and where I am at, it would be even better to share it with someone special. I am looking for someone to share in the happiness of life, and not for someone to make me happy.I love meeting new people, though I am sometimes a little shy at first. Above all, I love to laugh... I've been told that my laugh is infectious and I love that something so simple can make others smile.I went back to school 10 years ago to retrain in the healthcare field, and though it was hard work, it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I love the challenge of work, and striving to be better at what I do on a regular basis. Loving my work makes the days easy... I am greatful to love what I do!When I'm not at work, I typically enjoy being active. Whether it's walking the dog, a xc ski in the Gatineaus, or a workout at the gym I really feel better when I am active. I absolutely love hot yoga and the combined physical and mental challenge that it requires. I take enjoyment in working around my home to make my place a beautiful and comfortable place to be.... I have gotten my hands dirty putting in a garden and renovating my bathroom with a few friends' help (and knowledge).Family is extremely important to me. Though they live far away, we talk on the phone a couple times a week. I am looking for someone with whom I can enjoy some common interests... Xc skiing, dog walking, cottaging, etc. I am always up for trying something new so would enjoy trying a new activity with a special someone. Ultimately I am looking for something long-term... someone who is family-oriented and comfortable with where they're at in life. Eventually I'm hoping to work my way west across the country.I like to be active, but these days have been pretty busy with school. I'm willing to try just about anything once. I like to be shown new things and in turn teach others about my passions. I love the outdoors and animals. I'm not a big TV watcher but I do make a point of watching NCIS every week, as well I like to tune in to HGTV or the Food Network every now and then. I would say my favorite TV show of all time is Tour of Duty... I've watched all three seasons at least three times! I have a few tattoos and intend to get a couple more. My 5 year plan includes finishing my MSc, paying off my relatively small student loan, starting my PhD, teaching myself to knit, getting SCUBA certified, teaching myself how to play guitar, camping as much as possible, re-learning German... there are a few other things, but I think I'll stop myself there! My favorite meal to eat out at a restaurant is breakfast and I'm a nutter for Mexican food. I'm NOT crazy about shopping or chocolate. Most women have a shoe obsession... not me. My womanly obsession is glasses, which I've only discovered in the past year. I'm looking for an adventurous soul, who's spirit matches my own; someone to make me laugh and that I have fun with.     I'm easy going and love to laugh. Getting together with friends for a night out at a comedy club is a perfect night in my book. I love to cook and bake and entertain friends. Dinner parties and game nights are great! Movie nights at home are just as fun as dressing up and going out for a night on the town. I love to travel and do not do it often enough.
