Hello. Writing these things reminds me of my essay writing days and makes me think of the writing topics I give to students... I may need to become more creative! Lol I am an elementary school teacher who is learning to work hard at school but find time for me outside of the job. Life needs to be experienced! I like to go for walks in nature around the city and I am also a bit of a book worm. My friends and family are very important to me and keeping in touch with them is a big priority in my life. They ground me and keep me sane when work gets crazy. I am looking to meet someone who feels the same about connections with friends and family... As you can probably tell from my headline, sometimes I can be a bit of a dork. I like to laugh and find the fun in life, but I can be sincere and serious when the moments call for it. I was raised in the country and now work near the city, so I can appreciate what different places have to offer. But, to be honest, you can't take the country out of the girl. I appreciate the smalltown events and laid back lifestyle that I experience when I visit my family. Many people say it, but I absolutely love music. I love to catch concerts for a variety of genres whenever I have the chance, whether it be hard rock, classic rock, 80s hair metal, country, etc. I also love movies: romantic comedies, old classics, raunchy humor and superhero films. For TV, I watch Game of Thrones, Mad Men, True Blood and Supernatural. I can be a bit of a nerd (haha).I hope to travel more in the future. I'm happy and comfortable in my career and, because of that, plan to incorporate more destinations in the next few years. But, though I'm fine going places by myself, I do hope to find someone who will accompany me to concerts and live sporting events (hockey and baseball) as well as join me for low key nights at home or just getting together with friends in the warmer months for bonfires and a few beers/cocktails. Work can keep me pretty busy, but I want to have someone special in my life, so I'm hoping to find that person who will understand my career schedule yet know that I will make the time for the right person. I haven't dated much due to my work schedule, so I'm open to either standard first dates of dinner/drinks or creative options that will introduce me to new adventures.
