About Me

I like drama on the big screen rather than in my life. I'm looking for a good guy to that is financially grounded, kinda handsome, a partner who will join me in a loving, committed and playful relationship. I've always been a career woman; when at work I'm a driver, leading the charge & calling the shots, but after I leave the office, I prefer the man in my life to take the lead. On an average weekend, I balance the work week with getting out and about socially, maybe to have a drink & listen to a band or catch up with friends for dinner. The rest of the time, I spend at home playing around in my garden, getting a little sun, doing some yoga or dabbling with a little something creative. I've gotten to an awesome place in life so I'm grateful to be able to pay it forward -- I actively volunteer as a coach & mentor to people enrolled in transformational personal growth training. I own my house and a cat (or should I say she owns me :) I choose to have a simple easy life; my days of being a workaholic are over. I'm close to my family and have amazing friends; these relationships are important to me. I've been single for little while now and I would like to meet a man that is in a similar place in his life -- to be able to share, play and discover together new and familiar experiences. Yes, I do love to explore, be adverturous and I'm open to new things. And I'd rather be happy than right. The word I would use to describe a first meeting or date is CASUAL conversation.     I just moved back to FL from very,rural VA and all I can say is,"It's good to be back! What was I thinking?!"-a touch of insanity here! I've been looking for work with not a lot of success but am positive something will eventually come together. I've done mostly customer service,such as serving,retail sales,etc.. I am definitely a 'people person'. So,having said that,I have also enrolled in classes online. Having a lot of spare time on my hands,lately I've been making jewelry and cooking,two of my favorite things to do. But, I certainly wouldn't object to someone cooking for me or going out to dinner!!!lol [had some of that in VA by the way!] I mostly listen to classic rock,being from that era,but am open to some alternative[20 yr. old son] and a very little hip-hop[32 yr. old daughter] Although I enjoy the time I spend with my kids and the dogs,I'd enjoy having someone my age to talk to. Yes,it's hard to believe I'm 54,which most people say I don't look or act like!! Of course, they might be just being nice! I've found with age comes the wisdom to stay serene as possible and stay away from drama! It's been a while because I've been so busy rearranging my life. But,I'd love for someone to wine and dine me! Include a lot of conversation and a midnite stroll on the beach. I love to laugh,so there would definitely have to be some humor and fun involved. I can also be a bit adventuresome and like to live in the moment.
