Love the ocean and any activities affiliated ... One intent is to rent a baby blue 50's classic convertible and drive Route 66 from coast to coast only staying in ***'s motels along the way to make it authentic. Enjoy horse riding, tennis and anything aviation, and I create large oil paintings when the spirit moves me, which rejuvenates my soul. Oh, and art gallery exhibits and music/art/wine festivals. Dancing salsa and western? ... can do. My most favourite adventure has to be a month's sailing 1st mate on Captain Sam's 52' teak-decked "Alluvian.".. medieval villages, sculptures, galleries, ethnic wine ... wine ... Being a counselor by trade, I'm a keen listener and communicator with lots of intelligent thoughts about the world around me, but I like two~way conversation and debate... fiscally stable and responsible with retirement by 60ish in the cards. You don't have to like everything I do, but you must want to travel and adventure with me at least once a year. I seek and envision a healthy and loving relationship ... rather like an affinity moving two people in unison, who share similar values, and live a shared serenity ... perfection desired, but not expected (poetic? I'm not always on the go, but I prefer outdoor activities to the gym. I don't mind being alone in the least, but I do want somone I can spoil, cuddle, hold hands, cook with, kiss alot, love on and give my attention to, and vise versa, of course.; as she is smart, funny, pretty, and not afraid to make fun of herself, or speak her mind. I don't wear a lot of makeup, but always willing to create different looks to please my man. I love all types of music, especially the blues and rock n roll. I enjoy diving, snorkeling, and boating, the mountains, skiing, concerts and pretty much anything in the great outdoors. I love fishing and lobstering (is that a word?). Love to travel, I am always interested in finding new places. I do enjoy being at home, cooking, listening to music or watching a movie. I like to entertain, hang out with family and friends. I work out regularly, along with biking and diving, I maintain a healthy lifestyle with no fast food, lots of fresh fish! A tall, confident man attracts my attention. Happy, social, and open-minded are other traits I admire. But true old-fashioned values, and an understanding of the dynamic between a man and a woman and the roles each has in a relationship, is the most appealing trait of all. I long to feel safe, secure, and someday, loved...to be held in the arms of a man I'm proud of (and who's proud of me), and who makes me want to be nowhere else in the world but there. He smiles to himself when we're apart, simply because I make him happy...I'm his special girl. He holds my vulnerability gently in his hands, and allows me to be myself...encourages it. I'm an affectionate gal too, once I'm comfortable. And I happen to think a great sense of humor is a darn sexy thing for a man to have. And just so you know...I'm aaaaaall woman. Boating, sailing, hopping onto a jet ski or motorcycle (back of the bike only, thankyouverymuch) are pastimes I can't get enough of. On a lazy day I'll sit outside and get engrossed in a book or my sketch pad. (Being tucked up beside you, as we laze in the sun, would be a perfect way to spend the day.) Skeet shooting, swimming and dancing are things I like to do. I'm an intermediate-level snow skier with a NAUI dive card (what a combo). And after a couple of glasses of "aiming fluid", I can shoot a pretty mean game of pool too. (Oh yeah...and I like to shop. I'm a girl. Its what we do.)Small casual gatherings are the BEST kind. (LOVE my shorts and flip flops) Old friends and new, a couple of "adult beverages" thrown in for good measure...life's "aaah" moments. Getting dressed up to go out is fun too. (Have waaay too many sexy heels to let 'em sit and collect dust.) I think hosting parties at home is even better than attending them elsewhere. (Okay, I just might root a little harder for the 'Noles...) Road trips...love 'em. Planned or spontaneous...with a destination in mind or just following the road ahead...doesn't matter. I've embraced a new way of looking at life, after starting fresh and shiny-new. Living IN the moment is the most important thing for me. Life doesn't start later, tomorrow, next week...its what we're doing RIGHT NOW...and I've been making the most of it. Something else you might want to know 'bout me (and I'm giving you fair warning), I enjoy being challenged, and I hope you do too...'cause I CAN be a handful. I'm willful and sassy, and playful and fun. I spend most of my days with a big ol' smile on my face, and I'll keep one on yours as long as we're open to each other. (But I'll bet you'll want to chase me around the kitchen island a time or two...its that dang sassy thing.)I have two GREAT kids. My daughter is 23, proudly married to a soldier, and gave birth to my very first grandchild in ***. (She's the one who convinced me to give this crazy site a try, by the way.) My son is 20, is also in the Army, and married his high school sweetheart earlier this year. (Hoo-ah! I'm a proud mama.)Oh, and one more thing, in case you're still interested: I was a commissioned officer in the US Army. (yes, really). That's it...that's me in a five minute read. Soooo...what are you waiting for? Something as simple as meeting for a drink and a chat to see if there is a spark between us would be an ideal first meeting. A nice relaxing spot, preferably outside (weather permitting) would suit me just fine. A game of pool or shooting darts would be fun too. No matter what...if its easy to converse, if we look directly into each other's eyes as we do, if a giggle or ten erupts during our exchange, I'd say yes to spending more time getting to know you better...if you agreed. (And if I flirt with you during our first meeting, trust me, you're golden.) Second date? ...bring a crash helmet...
