About Me

I'm an easy going person who enjoys going with the moment. If you're going to put me in a box, then I suppose I belong in the "spontaneous" box, because I hate being constricted or tied down (for this purpose anyway) by a schedule. We all have to have schedules for some life events, but it's the unscheduled parts of life that, at least for me, are the most fulfilling. Laughing and being playful are two of my greatest joys and I try to surround myself with others who enjoy that as well or whom enhance that quality in myself. I tend to be a risk taker as well, though I'm not foolish with it.I have great duality in my personality. On the one hand, I'm the poster child for hopeless romantics. I love spending time with my someone special, making dinner, enjoying long walks in the mountains or at the shore, dancing at the spur of the moment for no particular reason except to hold someone close, snuggling on the sofa as we watch a movie (and I do like other types of movies than "chick flicks") and doing silly little surprises to let you know I'm thinking about you. On the other hand, I like a little spice in my life and have been known to deviate a little to the left of norm, if you know what I mean....lol. If you don't know exactly what I'm alluding to...well, just ask!!I have a curious mind and am always thinking about something. I enjoy learning new things.I'm definitely an affectionate person. I've always been touchy/feely with my friends and whomever I may be dating. I have no problems with public displays of affection and love snuggling or cuddling. However, I'm not looking for a friends with benefits/sex only situation, so if that's what you want, look elsewhere.I have a variety of interests including: music, watching movies, photography, reading on my kindle fire, exploring new places, intelligent conversation, good wine and food, jazz festivals, museums, history, architecture, culture, art, board games, drives to nowhere, picnics by a lake or in a park and a few other things that one doesn't necessarily discuss in polite company.Anyone with a quick wit and intelligent conversation is bound to get my attention, for I seem to have little use for those who can not carry on decent discourse. One intent is to rent a baby blue 50's classic convertible and drive Route 66 from coast to coast only staying in ***'s motels along the way to make it authentic. Enjoy horse riding, tennis and anything aviation, and I create large oil paintings when the spirit moves me, which rejuvenates my soul. Oh, and art gallery exhibits and music/art/wine festivals. Dancing salsa and western? ... can do. My most favourite adventure has to be a month's sailing 1st mate on Captain Sam's 52' teak-decked "Alluvian.".. medieval villages, sculptures, galleries, ethnic wine ... wine ... Being a counselor by trade, I'm a keen listener and communicator with lots of intelligent thoughts about the world around me, but I like two~way conversation and debate... fiscally stable and responsible with retirement by 60ish in the cards. You don't have to like everything I do, but you must want to travel and adventure with me at least once a year. I seek and envision a healthy and loving relationship ... rather like an affinity moving two people in unison, who share similar values, and live a shared serenity ... perfection desired, but not expected (poetic? I'm not always on the go, but I prefer outdoor activities to the gym. I don't mind being alone in the least, but I do want somone I can spoil, cuddle, hold hands, cook with, kiss alot, love on and give my attention to, and vise versa, of course.; as she is smart, funny, pretty, and not afraid to make fun of herself, or speak her mind. I don't wear a lot of makeup, but always willing to create different looks to please my man. If you have read to the end ... bravo zulu ... write me a note. :) coffee or a glass of wine to get to know each other ensuring neither are mentally ill, or serial killers ... then plan a longer date if we both survive. ;-)
