I believe everyone should go to a Jimmy Buffett concert at least once, if not more. It's as much fun as a person can have without breaking any laws. Fins up!!! Yes I was raised Catholic but I don't attend church anymore. I lean more towards good karma rather than misguided dogma. I believe there is more than one road to the Divine. I haven't had good luck dating people who aren't fairly "local" (actually I haven't had good luck dating at all!! lol) so I tend to avoid that frustration now. when I get these "so and so" wants to meet you, I take it with a grain of salt, someone saying they like my picture. I usually don't respond unless someone actually writes to me. Just an FYI. by the way, I've been transitioning to a more plant based diet. so I won't be going for a steak or a burger on a date. He's my best friend and we walk all the time on the bike path!! He gets me off the couch just like a best friend would do. She died a couple of years ago. but thanks for your interest! Rent the DVD if you want to experience an "older woman". The Graduate is a great movie!POF made me choose a word to describe my personality. I chose hippy but I think it's supposed to be hippie, lol, like... peace signs, getting back to nature, etc. oh well. And, I'm actually 58. I hate that they required me to "post my intention, i.e. dating or relationship, etc. If you put "dating" it makes you look like a serial dater. if you put "relationship" it makes you look like you're hunting for a spouse. I'm doing neither of those. It would be nice if I meet someone nice but I don't have high hopes. I haven't even been meeting or dating in a while. I have some things that I'm trying to improve about myself. I've worked 12 hour night shifts for the past 5 years and I've put on a few pounds that I'm not happy about so I'm trying to get them off. But then again.... if someone doesn't want me at my worst, they sure as h*ll don't deserve me at my best. ; )

..etc...etc. You know, who are we all fooling here, most people enjoy getting out of the house with a friend and having a little fun. I want someone I can go out with in my spare time and enjoy life.I'm not high maintenance. I like most things simple and easy. Really not stressing over finding a relationship...figure if that is going to happen it will and I won't even see it coming.One final note: If your profile says you are looking for a relationship or dating or even just hanging out BUT what you are REALLY looking for are (as they put it on here) intimate encounters (read: sex) than please don't message me. Don't get me wrong I like sex but I am not looking for a hit and run. I am really amazed at how many seem to be baiting women with the idea they are looking to settle down but all they really want is to see if they can get laid. Ok I will get off my soapbox now.
