About Me

I am a well-adjusted, financially secure, independent, assertive woman. I work hard, like to play hard and live each day to the fullest. I believe in communication, honesty and effort as keys to happiness and fulfillment. My children are all grown and on their own and am now looking to enjoy my free time with someone special. Although I am meeting some interesting people, I really want to find .. one special person to spend time with. I have been using the word "balance" a lot lately. At our age, we need to be self-sustaining, responsible adults. BUT, we need to be able to enjoy ourselves and grab those exciting moments in life when they come along or be the one to make them happen! I love live music,cover bands and concerts, jazz, blues, piano bars, musical theater, fests, working out, water activities, and being outside.I love to travel and discover new adventures.     At this age I never dreamed I wouldn't be married, and be alone to try to live out the rest of my life. I don't want to be alone. I CAN be alone if I have to be, but I don't want to be. I'm not interested in finding someone just like me. I am also not interested in trying to change someone. If I like them enough to date them, fall in love, or marry them then why would I want to CHANGE them? I am very laid back and patient. I have 2 daughters, both grown....one granddaughter, who has me wrapped around her finger, and a very affectionate****r spaniel who is two years old and has yet to figure out he is a d-o-g. I put on here that I was few extra pounds, because I am far from ideal weight for my height. I am not huge- or gross by any means. Just bigger than I need to be and there is always room for improvement. I would prefer someone who can look at what a beautiful person I am on the inside and how lucky they would be to have me, modesty aside lol,by getting to know me and realize that although I might be "fluffy" :) there is so much more to me than that. I'm educated but that is just a degree in business. It doesn't mean I know everything about everything, nor do I act that way. Most of my adult life has been spent working in the medical field. I just want to find someone to love who loves me back. Not sure why that is such a challenge but I guess if it were easy we would allllll be happy now wouldn't we? :) I like to go to movies in my spare time....I read on average a book every two weeks. That is how I wind down at bedtime. I sing and have gone to karaoke for years...my taste in music is pretty wide, but my favorites are classic rock, new country, blues; I don't drink or smoke so that makes karaoke a challenge. It started just as an outlet for singing , but I tired of it quickly. Anything you want to ask?
