Ugh!! This is the worst part, but here goes! I am compassionate, witty, and passionate......I still believe that chivalry is NOT dead! I am a real "girly-girl", but also love my sneakers and comfy flannel PJ's! You can dress me up and take me out to the classiest places, but don't be surprised when you realize I love to joke around and be goofy and playful, too (NOT in the classy restaurant, of course!! ) I am divorced with an 8 year old son and value family highly.....I am blessed to still have my parents around. Since I do have a young child, I would expect and will appreciate anyone I meet to be understanding when it comes to the challenges single moms sometimes have when dating. I teach special education through private agencies and love what I do.......I pride myself on my ability to be sensitive and establish good relationships with the parents I work with who have special needs children. I love infants and the elderly....they're both so precious in their own ways!! Of course, communication and trust are important, but even at this age, I think chemistry is also a must! A relationship without appreciation and passion just doesn't feel right. I am a good listener, a loyal friend, and love to make people laugh! I have a quick wit and usually laugh when I'm nervous! Making people laugh has always served as my "safety valve" since I am actually quite shy. Truthfully, I am looking for a solid relationship, as well as a man of exceptional values who will nurture my son as well as our relationship. Sure....I love the beach, and dining out, and working out, as well as candlelight and a nice glass of wine! I feel the best when I dance, although I don't really dance anywhere other than my living room anymore!! I am a classically trained musician, (my bachelor degree is in music education) but absolutely love latin, R&B, soul, and classic disco. Not looking for 'games' or causal dating. I was totally against a dating site of any sort. One day my daughter took charge without my knowledge and signed me on...so here I am. Just updating my profile to my likings:) I'm n the process of a pretty much cut and dry divorce. Together for 31yrs.and had absolutely nothing n common. Stayed n for as long as I did because of children and wanting to Keep the family intact. My children are now young adults. Now It's mommy's time:) I would love to find that special someone,fall n love and eventually get married again. Never felt like I ever had a marrage...I do work so If your between jobs don't stop here:( I enjoy life and know how to have fun...although lil bit on the slower pace. I'm not 22 I'm 52:) I love animals of all sort and your probably thinking I have a house full of the critters...lol...absolutely not. Knowing had to down size due to divorce so n doing so I found my horses a very loving home,so that leaves me with 1 dog which Is perfectly great with me. So If your not an animal lover...please again don't stop here. I'm so looking forward for that next and final chapter of my life. Of course I realize my find might not happen on this site but I sure hope so...because all this can be mentally draining:)) I just want that one and only. Would like to find someone who is genuine, funny, witty and caring. Who enjoys spur of the moment adventures whether it be a weekend getaway or a fall festival.A great sense of humor is a plus. Who doesn't love to laugh? I will warn you though, I can be a little sarcastic at times but it's all in fun. Autumn is my favorite time of year.
