About Me

I love the outdoors, am down-to-earth, sensible, smart, reliable, stable, fun, funny and love being active. I would be thrilled to find someone who is athletic and active, loves cycling, xc skiing, hiking, camping, paddling, whatever! I'm honest and appreciate someone who can connect emotionally.I love all types of food (ethnic, leaning towards but not exclusively vegetarian). A few of my favorite local restaurants include Inka Heritage, Jolly Bob's, The Weary Traveler, and Chautara. I love many types of music (reggae, blues, R&B, anything with soul). I'm a big fan of being outdoors and enjoying nature. I have traveled a lot over the years, and still have some places on my bucket list...maybe we could do some exploring together! If you ask me about my favorite way to spend a day with my partner, it woud involve being outside doing something active together, enjoying some great food and libations, and then settling in for some close comfort and snuggling on the couch with a movie. I also enjoy many of the simple things in life...reading a book on the deck in the summer, playing pool, learning about things, conversations with friends over coffee. I'm liberal-!-loving, and live a rather drama-free life. I believe in balance in life, and tending to mind, body and spirit. I like to be spoiled once in a while, how about you?!My close friends would tell you that I am a very caring, compassionate and sensitive person who has good intuition and a nature to help others. They might mention that I have a soft and vulnerable side that comes out, but that it isn't always apparent right away when meeting me.If you are down-to-earth, kind, caring, reliable, gentle, honest, thoughtful, creative, affectionate, confident, funny, honorable man, and can appreciate an in shape, active, and real woman, I would love to hear from you. Wow, that was a long list!Take a chance, you may be surprised!! The perfect day!! I'm flexible!

I am a divorced lady with no children. I am still friendly with my ex, and now feel ready to get back into the social scene. I work for a large travel agency and would love to have someone to travel with! I have two cats, whom I love, and I plan to add a dog to my home very soon, so you MUST be an animal lover! I don't care about age, as long as it's not too huge a gap either way. I am looking for someone easygoing, stable, and calm, who enjoys going out but also likes to stay home and veg once in a while. Anyone I'm with has to be at least somewhat liberal, yet also not hate country music! This poem is a favorite of mine. If it speaks to you also, please contact me!The DanceI have sent you my invitation, the note inscribed on the palm of my hand by the fire of living.Don’t jump up and shout, “Yes, this is what I want! Let’s do it!”Just stand up quietly and dance with me.Show me how you follow your deepest desires, spiraling down into the ache within the ache, and I will show you how I reach inward and open outwardto feel the kiss of the Mystery, sweet lips on my own, every day.Don’t tell me you want to hold the whole world in your heart.Show me how you turn away from making another wrong without abandoning yourself whenyou are hurt and afraid of being unloved.Tell me a story of who you are,and see who I am in the stories I live. And together we will remember that each of us always has a choice.Don’t tell me how wonderful things will be . . . some day.Show me you can risk being completely at peace, truly okay with the way things are right now in this moment, and again in the next and the next and the next. . .I have heard enough warrior stories of heroic daring.Tell me how you crumble when you hit the wall, the place you cannot go beyond by the strength of your own will. What carries you to the other side of that wall, to the fragile beauty of your own humanness? And after we have shown each other how we have set and kept the clear, healthy boundaries thathelp us live side by side with each other, let us risk remembering that we never stop silentlylovingthose we once loved out loud.Take me to the places on the earth that teach you how to dance, the places where you can risk letting the world break your heart. And I will take you to the places where the earth beneath my feet and the stars overhead makemy heart whole again and again.Show me how you take care of businesswithout letting business determine who you are. When the children are fed but still the voices within and around us shout that soul’s desires havetoo high a price, let us remind each other that it is never about the money.Show me how you offer to your people and the worldthe stories and the songsyou want our children’s children to remember. And I will show you how I struggle not to change the world, but to love it.Sit beside me in long moments of shared solitude, knowing both our absolute aloneness and our undeniable belonging.Dance with me in the silence and in the sound of small daily words, holding neither against me at the end of the day.And when the sound of all the declarations of our sincerestintentions has died away on the wind, dance with me in the infinite pause before the next great inhaleof the breath that is breathing us all into being, not filling the emptiness from the outside or from within.Don’t say, “Yes!”Just take my hand and dance with me.© Oriah Mountain Dreamer, from the book The Dance, HarperONE, SanFrancisco, ***I like to keep the first meeting pretty casual -- a cup of coffee or maybe a glass of wine, conversation, see what comes from that . . .

Looking for: man. In age: 51-61

I am a person that enjoys the outdoors and taking long walks. Gardening is my passion and I love it when people stop in their cars or while walking by to admire the landscaping and gardens I have created. I love animals and my two dogs keep me laughing every day with their crazy antics. I am a creative person and always have some new project that I am in the middle of working on. A friend once called me "the queen of undone projects". Some days I run around with huge energy tackling all of the things I want to accomplish. Other days I just kick back...relax...with a glass of wine...a good movie or two and do absolutely nothing. My friends and family are very important to me and are a large part of my life. Music is a wonderful thing...depending on my mood and what I am doing on a given day I listen to all different types...country...pop...70's...classical etc. As long as it is not Opera or Rap!! I truly enjoy the sights and sounds of water.....they are so relaxing and beautiful. Swimming and wading thru them all is so much fun...except the ocean...after seeing "Jaws"Lets have good conversation and laughs over a drink or a bite to eat...just real casual with no pressure. We might not turn out to be a match for each other however friendships are a very cherished thing in my life. Friends are the glue that holds me together when I most need it. Whatever makes us both comfortable. We could choose when the moment presents itself
