About Me

Remember Superman?Faster than a speeding bullet.More powerful than a locomotive.Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. The one super power he possessed that impressed me the most was the ability to change clothes in a phone booth. Have any of you guys tried to put on a pair of tights in a phone booth? Shoot, I need at least a 10'-10' area to accomplish that feat. I wonder where he changes clothes today. Although if the iphone gets any larger Apple will have to re-introduce the booth. If Superman had a profile on meetville how would he represent himself? The guy with morning breath, pet hair on the furniture, a bathtub ring and occasional science project in the fridge? The guy who gets upset when his favorite team loses or his best friend betrays him?Or would he be the larger than life, unavailable, and secretive Super Hero? The guy who's life is perfect and shiny like a new silver dollar? He's always in control, never feels angry. His dog never pukes on the carpet, he never loses his keys, has never had a bad haircut or overdrawn his bank account. His life is a well oiled machine; smooth and efficient. He was down to earth and approachable and in the end he was the man who won her heart.Prolonged contact with Kryptonite is the one thing that makes Superman weak. What is your kryptonite? What do you have crawling around inside your clothes that keeps you from being the best that you could be? Lust? Dishonesty? Pride? Desperation? Greed? Opportunistic behavior? One of mine is the inability to distinguish fools gold from the real thing.ABOUT ME:There are some who look down their noses at my type of work. I put in 12 hr days 4 days a week caring for a blind Alzheimer patient. It's difficult physically and emotionally, and the pay is low. It is a job most could not or would not be capable of doing. While most are sitting at their desk staring at their computer screens, I am on my feet: caring. When others are ready to stand and play, I am ready to sit and breath. I spend my first day off recouping. This usually involves sitting, working on a project, or strolling around the yard enjoying the fresh air. Then there are errands to run, bills to pay and things to clean. That leaves me a day to enjoy. As much as I love to help, I am unable to take on someone else's responsibilities at this time. So I won't ask you to work on my car if you don't ask me to clean your house.I put my dreams aside to raise my boys, so now I enjoy spending time alone working on my writing. I recently became interested in photography and plan to pursue classes. I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, Frisbee, badminton, festivals, live theater, art museums, golf, swimming, walking thru cornfields, eating peanut butter from a spoon, laughing with friends and movies that make me think, or keep me on the edge of my seat.At the risk of sounding selfish; I have spent most of my life taking care of others and now I am looking for someone who is able to give of themselves unselfishly. I'm not looking to be taken care of, just cared for. It's important to me that you have a favorite restaurant you enjoy visiting, I also have one I enjoy. I care that you like your coffee a certain way, and I like mine a certain way as well. I would like to find someone who understands that I have different interest, different likes and dislikes. At times I would like to share those things with this person as I would want them to share their interest with me, other times I would like to go it alone. I would like to find a friend first and see if it evolves into a partnership. I am looking for someone who can offer me good conversation, laughs and a companionship in which we both will be considered and appreciated. Actions speak louder than words. We don't know how to be alone. So we wander round this desert, and wind up following the wrong Gods home.....…..learn to be still. ~Eagles~ Surprise me, I love surprises.

i'm looking for my last first date. no drama, angst or baggage here. life is just too short not to have fun. my date will have a great sense of humor, have all his teeth and enjoy similar interests. i'm looking to be someone's priority, tired of being an option. that someone will have a sense of loyalty and integrity. looking for someone seriously interested in a relationship. .i have 2 grown dtrs, and a cat, i own my own home and have been working in the same job for 21 years. i'm a country girl, relocated to the city a long time ago. i can appreciate and enjoy what each has to offer. music and water make me happy. Love the beach, being on or near the water, boating/kayaking, bikes of the motorized variety---don't mind the back seat although do know how to ride, just not confidently yet. i like concerts/live music (classic rock, country, music you can dance too) and happy hours with good friends. Sunsets with wine is my favorite. pls....only those looking for a serious relationship need respond. i don't want to be on anyone's "playlist". if this is you, drop me a line. i'd love to hear from you. maybe lunch or a drink after work. i'm open for ideas.

Looking for: man. In age: 50-60

So much of my life was dedicated to work that I woke up one day and realized that I was fifty and alone. I don't like this situation and really want to find a nice guy to share life. I enjoy scuba diving and travel. I learned a year ago and really love diving. I have always enjoying traveling, but diving has given my travels new purpose. I hope to dive all over the world. Some times it takes being away to really appreciate home. One of the great side effects of travel is coming home and sleeping in my own bed, a really wonderful thing. At home I enjoy cooking, movies, walks, and bike rides. I try really hard to live in the moment and not let the past or future over shadow the now. My good relationship qualities are I am a loving, compassionate, and loyal partner. If I had to point out my less than ideal qualities they would be that I can be a bit too direct, decisive and occasionally obtuse. To be honest I haven't had lots of relationships, nor have I had any really long ones. I guess I am a little shy and a bit insecure when it comes to you wonderful men. Hopefully you will help me get over that. :-) Somewhere casual, where we can visit.
