The best advise I've ever recieved came from my mom, "treat people the way you want to be treated." I've tried to live by that, if someone dosent treat me with honesty and respect then I assume that they expect the same. I am strong and independent. I have a good job which allows me to provide for myself and to have fun with my life. I like to read and spend time making beaded jewelry. I hope to continue to travel. I have three adult children and 6 grandchildren who I enjoy spending time with. I enjoyed raising my children and gave them my all. Now that they are adults I am doing some of the things that I couldnt do when they were young. I have been skydiving, parasailing, and enjoy hiking. I am a good cook love it when people enjoy my food, but getting dressed up and going out to eat is great too. One of my favorite things to do is to take long rides on my motorcycle, no cell phone or call lights or other peoples voices to interupt my thoughts it gives me time to clear my head since I have a very stressful and demanding job one that requires me to put other peoples needs ahead of all else, my time alone means alot to me. I dont spend much time watching TV unless its something that interests me on the History Channel or a good documentary. I truley enjoy all types of music from classical to rap, I started listening to rap because I wanted to hear the music that influenced my grandchildren and I found that some of it is pretty good. Starbucks for coffee and conversation.

Recently moved to CA from VA. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and making more friends.’s, Home Depot, a concert, a local "hot spot," or just hanging out with friends when I’m not working. In the summer, the beach and playing in the water is a must. Okay not so much here...yet...the water is COLD! I've been known to drive a sports car or a SUV, on occasion too fast, while weaving through traffic. I'm finding that I tend to fit in on the 5. People that drive like I do think of ourselves as great drivers, people that don’t think otherwise. I love to travel and haven't done enough of it. I cannot stress this enough, so if you aren't interested in traveling (afraid of flying?) we won’t be a good match. Europe is a place that I haven't seen yet, but I intend to do so.’m a certified diver) and get back out west to ski. I wouldn't mind going back to explore more of the Hawaiian Islands. I went to Oahu and Maui and enjoyed it; even 2 weeks isn't enough. Back in VA we have a flea and tick season which seems pretty mild compared to the "seasons" here. What am I looking for? I like confidence and intelligence so I guess the best way to explain it would be a multifaceted successful man that can effectively balance work and play. He will be able to discuss the world around us and respect and enjoy hearing my interests and opinions on things. He is true to his word and follows through on what he says. He is open to communication and respects women. He doesn't just say that he respects women; he will actually exhibit mannerisms that show he truly does respect women. A great night for him would be to go out for dinner and enjoy a local band one night and the next stay home, put something on the grill, share a bottle of wine and watch a movie. To sum it up, I’m hoping to meet a man who has the desire and ability to enjoy and share all that life has to offer.One disclaimer, my body type was noted as athletic because there is no option for curvy and curvy definitely isn't average. I go to the gym, but my body remains curvy. Something simple such as meeting for coffee or a drink...maybe dinner.
