Looking for: man. In age: 51-61
Hi, How are you? I love good times with family, friends and especially laughter – Life is good, much too good not to share, deeply, long lastingly share. I am looking for someone who is down to earth, peaceful, lighthearted, who likes to laugh, loves family, children (big ones and little ones) and close friends, cares for the common good and has strength in kindness. It's really about meeting casually, maybe over coffee or lunch or a walk at the beach. I am not saying that I am against fine dining or dancing! At the least make a new friend. I look forward to hearing from you.

Like many of us, I find it hard to write about myself. In reading other's profiles, it seems we are all happy, good people searching for that special "someone" to share life's adventures with. Generally, it is true. We are happy, good people....I am looking for that someone who reverberates and enhances my interests and needs, as I would for you. I like participating in and watching sports. I keep busy in the winter snow skiing and traveling. In the, albeit way too short, summer I seek water, warmth and sand between my toes. Can never get too much of it. I enjoy going out to hear live music. My music taste is diversified, from alternative rock to R & B Rock. It is very important to me (and healthy) to spend time w/ my 2 young adult kids, my family and close friends. Especially need my girlfriend time.Sipping wine while preparing a nice meal is always a great way to spend an evening.I am looking for someone that is honest, open and clean. A sense of humor is also a MUST HAVE.Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Maybe we'll see each other soon?!PS- Is brewery and/or winery hopping a sport? If we decide that we want to go on a date......we'll make that decision then

I'm a journalist and historian by training. I teach high school & have a son,17, who still lives at home.I love to keep busy and laughing. How?! Planning fun activities: beach, a good comedy at the movie theater, and a hearty belly laugh. I love to get silly. Don't get to do that enough--do you?!I don't watch much t.v., but I do like educational shows, history shows & good movies. Moreover, mornings with a good cup of coffee & the paper is nirvana. I am pretty simple when it comes down to it and I promise the same in return--to be joyful & lots of warm embraces.Traveling (have passport) is a passion and so is genealogical research. And I like working out at the gym, too, but haven't gotten back after I broke my foot because I know pain awaits.I am a Midwestern girl, so I like going to tractor pulls and fishing on ponds. I like to pick strawberries and husk corn. I like bonfires and weenie roasts (my fire pit or on the beach). Love to throw a party or do a "girls night out" at my house. I like to bowl, dance, walk and swim. Most other sports I am happy being a fan. I do drive a mean golf cart, though. My family, my job, learning new things are all high priority for me. I am just a woman who loves life! I love museums, too. One of my goals is to go back to Vatican museum someday. I love going to concerts and plays, too.Looking for that final date, but I am realistic (and yet believe God has plans for me), so, until then I would be satisfied with a dating partner; a committed companion -- or how about someone to have coffee with on Saturday morning first?!If he happens to be kind, honest, spiritual (to me that means a practicing Christian who attends church and likes it) and really a believer in Jesus. He must be totally monogamous-minded; employed (early retired would be considered), I like men who know their way around a tool box, and ideally, he would not only be dedicated but also "easy on the eyes" (oh, I do love the blue eyes and dimples--and I like BIG men, too).Well, if he's all that, then, I guess I might want more than coffee ;)I lost my teen-aged daughter to a brain tumor two years ago. So, no day is perfect. But Christ is my constant. It is He that I think of and cleave to and desire--looking forward to the day when we are all reunited. Oh, an ideal first date?!That would have to include not feeling too exposed...it is hard to put yourself out there for possible rejection.I enjoy laughing and good conversation. That's a good start. And if we're clicking, maybe we can decide to grab a bite to eat later. Burger Fy comes to mind.Don't be afraid to be impromptu.Oh, and make me want to kiss you goodnight...but make me wait. I like a little teasing! ;)
