About Me

1. I love reading. Novels and poetry are my favorites, but I've been getting into short stories somewhat and I've been known to love some plays. I like drinking coffee and reading newspapers like an old man. I also like drinking coffee and conversing with young whippersnappers, so bring it on. I'm very into all sorts of movies and some video games and lately I've been pretending that I'm good at playing pool. Other than reading, my favorite hobby is probably getting into impassioned discussions about things like current events, politics, literature, racism, religion, perception, and so on. I love to get a sense of where people are coming from and try to understand them. We're all in it together, right? Right, damnit.2. I want to make a decent, not even necessarily a good, living in the field of literature. Maybe at a journal of poetry. I'd also love to get into food writing. Ultimately, I'll probably run away and buy a pub so I can spend my days drinking beer, whipping up bar food, and befriending local yokels. 3. I'm unique because everyone is unique. I might potentially be interesting though because I am very open to experiencing things that are outside the mainstream. I am into juggling and puppetry, for example, and I love a solid debate about pretty much anything. Even if I completely disagree that Superman is cooler than Batman, if you perhaps construct a flowchart and argue your case, I'll tip my hat to you. If I'm wearing a hat.4.;No Pressure Over Cappuccino?" I like a ton of stuff, and most of it was probably left out of this somehow. So let's talk about music. Also, I have a problem with declaring too many songs "my jam."5. Although I'm usually in a pretty good mood, I tend to scowl. And I kinda like it6. I believe in being courteous to other people, even when they don't appreciate it. Better to sleep soundly at night than to get in the last word. 7. I've noticed a trend on here of people talking about how great and good-looking they are, and then listing who they don't want to talk to (butches, femmes, "thick" girls or certain races or whatever it is). Well, I pretty much think those people are jerks. And I don't want to talk to jerks. So there. I have no idea what I'd do for a first date, to be honest. I would probably be into getting coffee and talking about books and music and movies and maybe eating some sort of caramel-y chocolate and if things are going well maybe even some kind of soup in a breadbowl? That got really specific. But anything, really. Especially an arcade. That has "Target Terror" or "" That got a little more specific...
