I'm working as a server/bartender to pay the bills in the meantime, but all that keeps me pretty busy so a friend got me on this site!A little about myself: - I want to work with PTSD in the military population, hopefully in the field of clinical neuropsychology. I don't have any family serving, but it's something I've always cared a lot about! - I like mixing it up and doing a little bit of everything. If you're uncomfortable with a girl who lifts, this could get awkward...- Yes, I was in a sorority in college, but I definitely don't fit the "Legally Blonde" stereotype, which is hopefully already obvious. So...here you are , in my dreams. It's all shiny and stuff and I'm probably flying on a giant unicorn. Now it's time to get out of my dreams and into my buggy...my dune-buggy that is. I don't actually have one, but as you can see, I have an active imagination. Some days, I am a pirate, others I am a mermaid...but usually I am just a graduate student studying speech therapy. Once I am finished with school, I hope to work with older people,perhaps, to work on my French again, and to travel! I believe in being responsible for myself, but also continuing to have fun as I travel throughout the unpredictable journey of life. I would consider myself generally well-rounded and can find fun in many scenarios. I really enjoy movies and TV shows. I really should catch up on Doctor Who as well. Mrs. Doubtifre is a movie that I can quote every day when the opportunity presents itself...but I enjoy all kinds of movies! I collect books, too, both fiction and historical and enjoy reading when I have the spare time. Some of my classier interests involve wine (hint hint...a winery trip sounds like a great date) and dancing. For about three years now, I've been learning Egyptian-style "belly dance"...cultural experiences and colorful costumes are a big deal to me! I'd love to learn new kinds of dance if given the chance. I love cooking and trying a variety of foods...I am very peaceful with a new recipe in the kitchen as it is calming for me. Picnics in the park and horse-back riding would be ideal dates for a girl like me as well. Speaking of horses, I am an animal lover, with large-breed dogs being my favorite kind. Ultimately, I am just a laid-back and goofy girl looking for someone who will like me for who I am, who I can take care of, and most importantly laugh with! I am perfectly happy with staying in and watching a movie or laughing at videos and memes online. But, I am always up for a new adventure, especially when it is in the company of someone special :) What are some of my personality traits you should know about? I am quite loyal, family-centered, affectionate, giving, silly, and true to myself. To some people, I seem shy at first--but I open up when comfortable and love the chance to show people who I really am. My ideal first date could involve so many things! Meeting for a drink isn't the most original idea in the book, but it works for me! I am up for a casual, get-to-know-you chat over dinner or coffee or something more adventurous like an outdoor activitity or horse-back riding. We could meet at a park and walk my dog (and yours, if you have one!) A winery tour, a concert, or a cooking date would please me just as well...another more cliche date might involve creating our own picnic! Another idea...I absolutely adore the zoo! Or even the science center!
