I'm a student in my last semester of undergrad (I'll be done in December, yay!). My majors are environmental science and biology, and I have a minor in math. Until recently, I was planning on pursuing a career in wildlife conservation/biology. When I took a genetics class in the spring, I was *** by the subject. Long story short, I am now looking at various MS and PhD programs for evolutionary biology and genetics. My education is very important to me, so I work hard. However, I try to remember to have fun! I'm not all work and no play. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to read (esp. fantasy), and I am always in the middle of multiple books. When I'm not out and about during the weekend, I like to stay in and relax. Maybe watch a movie or play video-games. Being in the D.C. area has its pros, such as a short metro ride to the Smithsonian. I've grown up in this area, but I've never gotten tired of walking around the mall and exploring the museums and monuments. I also like to go on hikes with my buddies. I am just about to graduate with my associates degree in Early Childhood this coming December. I am a director of a daycare and enjoy working with children. My goal is to one day open my own daycare but not until I am settled with life and spend some time traveling and enjoying what life has to offer. I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. I don't go out all the time but when I do I like to go out for drinks with my friends. My friends are my rock they are amazing and supportive and very down to earth just like me. Do I like dressing up and going out? Yes but I am most comfortable in my yoga pants and sweatshirt. I like spending time outside and playing sports with my family (wiffleball and flag football especially). My family is my world.. They mean more to me than anything. I grew up in a huge family with lots of cousins. I couldn't picture not having them around! As for who I'm looking for... I'm keeping my options open.. Someone with a fun personality who likes to go do things but can still sit at home and relax. I’m still in school working toward a degree in recreational therapy at ISU. I absolutely love working with special needs people and hope someday I find my dream job in that filed.
