I'm a Ukranian-born Canadian. I'm outgoing, friendly, open minded and funny. I think humour is fairly key to being happy. I'm generally genuine and prefer to be open. Also if you like smart, assertive men, then you're in luck. I like to think I am responsible and caring, and personal integrity is important to me. I enjoy helping people through teaching and mentoring, which my work allows me to do. Overall I am satisfied and happy, but while one person can be good by themselves, two people can be great together! I am looking for a strong independent type, assertive, but with a fun light hearted side.I'm a Ph.D. student in nanotechnology, which also doubles as full time payed employment. It involves writing papers, going to conferences, working with younger graduate and undergraduate students, carrying out experimental work in labs, visiting companies and occasionally writing funding proposals. Later I would like to become a professor or an R&D specialist.For hobbies I play fingerstyle guitar and now learning the piano. I can generally play most sports, but prefer beach volleyball. I exercise on a regular basis, and there was a time I used to bodybuild (nothing too serious). I'm good with computers and electronics in general. I will also admit to playing the occasional videogame.As for shows, I generally prefer comedy shows like New Girl, The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Raising Hope. I like to think that if I met Jessica Day, good things would happen. I also listen to the Dean Blundell show on the radio. Despite the content of the show, some of the humour is brilliant. Also I ***, and think Louis C. K. I like cats, unequivocal proof that they are the superior pet: *** dogs are cool too: *** like to hear from you if you're a nice caring girl with a big heart, with a good sense of humour and you think we'd mesh. Coffee or drinks are generally good. Simple is good :)
