I did visit LA ***times a year growing up so the city isn't completely foreign to me, but a new experience nonetheless.I absolutely love music and play the drums myself. I will listen to mostly anything but my preferences are more rock, indie and electronic oriented but so vast I couldn't narrow it down further than that. I also love going to concerts when I can and believe even bad music played live is (generally) enjoyable. I played competitive tennis growing up, culminating in winning the State High School Championships my senior year and still enjoy playing although find it difficult to find the time nowadays. I love comedy and consider myself relatively funny. I occasionally write stand-up comedy jokes but have no intention of ever using them as I am far too shy for that, but I have been known to share my *ahem* genius with others if you are truly interested. Don't expect the jokes to be funny though as the delivery is way off.I've known I have wanted to be a lawyer for a long time and thus I enjoy a good-spirited debate as well as any form of intellectual conversation.I am looking for someone who first and foremost can be my best friend. I think too often couples are made without the requisite friendship since everyone is looking for a relationship and thus will try to make it work no matter what. I am looking for someone that I can get along with at all times. I am someone that enjoys a night in as much, if not more, than a night out so it is important for me to really enjoy the company of who I am with at a strong level. My ideal first date probably involves doing something inherently lame and touristy but being fun nonetheless. I love amusement parks, zoos, museums, parks. Come October, I can never get enough haunted houses and really anything Halloween themed. I have a soft spot for cheesy first dates, but not cliche first dates. Dinner-and-a-movie was only cool in the drive-in theater days and even then they were mostly just a means for getting to first base. I like excitement (yes, I consider museums exciting) and being in a position where we can get to know each other while having enough distractions around to avoid the awkwardness that can be "internet based" first dates.
