About Me

I started out building houses for U.S. I got tired of getting laid off during the winter. So I went to the bank and took out enough money to buy a couple of lots. And started my own general contracting firm. I love to spend time on the water, I find it very relaxing. My business has been the shits for the last 4 years. I've built a total of 3 custom homes during the last 4 years. I've got a partner who I'm helping with a ***acre subdivision. We are currently seeking to get a land use permit and zoning to allow a golf course, 42 single family homesites, and a few 2 story condo buildings. I will probably build out half of the sudivision as well as the condos myself. My website is *** I like to be outside. I enjoy riding my bicycle when the weather is good. I also enjoy the lakefront, Bears games, and Navy Pier. I like to listen to music rather than spend a lot of free time in front of the television. I'm a big reader, I read about 2 books per week. I also read an occasional biography, or a current economics book. I HAD A CEREBRAL HEMMORHAGE ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO. After a 4 year rehabilitation stint I relearned how to eat, walk, and speak again. IN FACT, I TURNED OUT BETTER THAN I WAS. I'M STILL INTELLIGENT, GOOD NATURED, EASY GOING, AFFECTIONATE, AND I HAVE A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR. AFTER BEING DEAD, YOU GET A GREAT APPRECIATION OF LIFE! EVERY MORNING I WAKE UP, LOOK OUTSIDE, AN APPRECIATE ANOTHER CHANCE AT HAVING A GREAT DAY! I DO NOT SEE WELL ENOUGH TO DRIVE. MY DATE HAS TO DRIVE WHEN WE GO OUT. IF WE HAVE BEEN DRINKING, I WILL CALL US A CAR FOR THE RIDE HOME. I know that this is a large drag on a date. And I wish it weren't so. But I don't want to run into a car full of people, just because I'm trying to act as though I'm good to go. Everyone has a good story, if you take the time to listen. I imagine that we would talk about the thing that consume our time. Whether it be our jobs, our families, or our pleasures. I'm sure we would talk about our families, and our children (I assume that just because I have a few kids, everyone will have at least one of their own- which I should not do) We could eat anywhere or anything from Crabs to Chinese to BBQ to Italian to Pizza to Breaded Steak Sandwiches. We could go someplace local. Somewhere it's not too loud to carry on a conversation. And we could try to figure each other out, and sort through our lives. In an attempt to find common ground to start a relationship from.I also like to tailgate and go to the Bears games. My Company used to have 6 season seats, until they hired Lovie. Then it was just too painful to watch every week. So now I see only the games I want to, and watch the balance on the TV. I've got a good friend who has great seats on the 30 yd line, about 25 rows up. The seats are so good, you forget how poorly the season is usually going. This is all sh*t that has screwed them up in the past. It may just happen again!

    If I'm not at work I'm outdoors hiking, fishing or taking in the stars at night. Very few indoor activities are on my list of TTD. Its time to unwind and enjoy life and I would like to head in that direction with someone special. I am willing to try anything, right now cooking is not working out so well for me as I am "burning" most everything so a cup of noodles look very tasty at times. I enjoy a cold frosty beer most times but have dabbled a little bit in the Wine arena finding the reds very tasty. When I go out to dinner ( Can't cook), open air restaurants are my favorite, fresh air, good food and a little music make for a most relaxing evening. My favorite is sushi followed by hot thai food. When I am in the outdoors I spend most of my time up in the Sierras, hiking, fishing, exploring old gold/silver mines and taking in the sites surrounding old ghost towns.. Yes life is simple and I choose to enjoy it. We all are looking for that "Perfect" first date but a casual, open air festive type atmosphere where the whole crowd can partake and share the experience helps to ease the tension on a first date. I am sure there are many that dance better than I but they do not have as much fun as I do.
