About Me

I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart. Writing to a stranger in hopes of making a very personal connection. All you have to do is stumble a few times for the whole process to seem flawed and pointless. Don’t give up just yet.Try to think of it differently. Take yourself back a century or so to a time when the written word had a more elegant flair and conveyed a message with meaning. A message that had to resonate for the weeks or months it would take for the next message to arrive. One of the upsides to the electronic age, people are writing again, though not always so eloquently. So pretend to take your pen in hand and send a message in a bottle of sorts. I can’t promise to reply to every note but I will hear what you have to say. Whatever you write will be appreciated. I’m not a romantic fool but I can be romantic with the right chemistry and perfect timing. That’s the real trick, the timing and the chemistry, I’m sure you know, is out of our hands.I don’t think there is just one special person. It’s many people, but timing, geography and luck has to conspire for the right collision to occur. Here's the rough sketch; esthetics, culture, humor, art, travel, good food, engaging conversation, genuine connection, these are the things that make life worthwhile for me. Fitness is also important to me. I stay in shape working out 5 days a week. Though that has become tougher with my latest job.I live and work pretty independently. I enjoy my home in the mountains. I travel plenty for work and more for pleasure. I am professional but my artistic side wishes it could take over. Balance is very important to me. You wouldn’t know it from reading this, but I’m usually rather silly. I’m also dependable, supportive and realistic. To me masculinity is about stepping up, being honorable and helping others when they need a hand.I’d very much like to hear your story but I don‘t want to waste your time either. I’m looking for a woman with style, class and intelligence who appreciates a good conversation. Someone still passionate about life and her future. I wish it didn’t matter to me but you must be attractive, slender and fit. You are independent and really enjoy culture and travel. A love of music and a kind heart are very welcome.     It is difficult to try and describe yourself in a few short sentances, there is something to be said for spending time and getting to know someone. That said, I can tell you I like to work hard and I like to play hard. I enjoy being outside, I grew up riding horses and I am looking to buy a couple more horses and break them in for riding. I dont have any children of my own I have 18 neices and nephews and it would be fair to say I love kids but I dont care for house pets. I get along with almost anyone I meet. I woudnt mind meeting someone who shares some of my interests and is not afraid to try new things. I have a wild sense of humor and so do my friends so a sense of humor is a requirement for someone who might be intersted in me. I am low maintenance and high energy but I know how to relax as well, I do like typical guy stuff football, boxing etc but I dont spend all sunday watching sports, usually just one game(the Cowboys) a week during football season. I think I am a romantic but you would have to be the judge of that. I enjoy being intimate and not just by myself (theres that sense of humor). I love my job and travel alot (by car). I am complex not complicated I dont spend time complaining, I like to live life not watch it and it would be nice to share it with someone......Rick Ride...Ride...Ride! afterwards a visit to a nightclub for a little while I like country music and dancing but my footwork is quite rusty. To say much more about the first date takes the mystery out of it so lets just say the rest of the date should be spontaneous.

    I believe in honesty-always! I love to laugh and have fun but are not really into the bar scene. I try to stay active however I can and enjoy many different activities, both inside and out, from racing motorcycles to playing cards and about everything in between. The beach, the mountains or just traveling to see sights I haven't seen before or have already seen a time or two. I don't do drugs or drink heavily not to say I don't tie one on occasionally, but it has been a while. I have lots of friends and enjoy their company and doing things with them but don't "live my life with them". My family is more important. I work hard and like to enjoy my time off. I'm trustworthy, honest and faithful. I am a one woman man and expect the same in return. I'm looking for a long term relationship but not in a hurry to get married, yet. Like to find someone with some brains as well as being attractive, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Definately someone who can be faithful and have fun together...I like spontaneity in a woman, not affraid of public shows of affection and one that can communicate without holding back, (no secrets, no surprises) and doesn't mind taking off for the weekend on a whim. About me; Im an easy going, down to earth kinda guy. I like to stay active, and like doing just about anything. I have a 13 year old daughter that I love very much. I have joint AND equal custody of her, meaning I get her half the time. I like to joke around and have fun. Im an animal lover although I dont have any pets at this time. My passion is motorcycles. I have street bikes, and dirt bikes. I love to hit the road on a nice day and head to the Parkway or anywhere else for that matter. I also like to dirt ride and race motocross occassionally. I am currently recovering from rotator cuff surgery, brought on by racing motocross....lol, so the dirt bike is collecting a little dust. Im just not ready to call it quits. I guess Im picky about who I am looking for, as everyone should be. I have been on here a while now, and although I appreciate all the people that have shown interest in me, they weren't what I am looking for. And I guess the same goes for those that I contacted, I wasnt what they were looking for. End result is that I hid my profile and have just about quit looking on here. I am looking for someone that is somewhere around my age (give or take) that likes to stay active, doing various things. Someone that is looking for the long term, and in the future, possibly getting married, and that wouldnt mind having my teen aged daughter around (half the time). I am also a northern transplant, been in the area now about 23 yrs, raised in the mid-west. Ive figured out that sometimes you have to go a little deeper than what appears on the outside to see the real person. As I believe I have passed up some real gems, just because they didnt shine as I thought they should or as I may of wanted them to.
