We all want someone special in our life to make us feel good, and a relationship we can feel good about. So why are so many self-centered, "my way or no way" types, out there, expecting to find something good to last, when they would not want to date someone like themselves?! I mean think about it. It's give and take not just take. Duh! Hello?! (I'm laughing now.) You want good love? You gotta give good love. Right? Right. I can feel comfortable in many environments so my dates comfort would be my primary concern here. So her input, at least in part, would be important here. Having said that, a first date is a time to get to know one another so dinner out is a good place to start. I can think of about a dozen restaurants I could suggest and would allow her to choose one. Conversing over dinner is a good way to get to know one another better.
