Personality in one word? None really fit, but it made me choose.. so I'm aspiring chef, but still a long way to go... Working on signing up to return to school for my Associates Degree. Current job is seasonal, and done last week in Oct. Once I know school schedule, then I can pursue a work schedule around that. I realize the dating challenges this schedule creates, but if you have some flexibility in yours and are a patient woman, then please, let's talk. (Just because I'm busy doesn't mean I have to go it alone! LOL)And please... honesty always. I hate deception, and despise lies. Not too fond of cooking for one. Would rather be sharing...! Returned to be with my family and to pursue a passion I didn't realize was there. This time I voluntarily left a dead-end job to pursue a better, more satisfying life. I'm back in school - for Culinary Arts, to be exact. I love to cook and have been told I'm quite good at it, but I want to be better! I figure why not make a living doing something that I enjoy so much?! I am a good man. Kind, loyal, honest to a fault (in fact I feel guilty not answering the smoking question 100% honestly. I don't smoke cigarettes, but enjoy an occasional cigar in the right place at the right time). Need family and love kids (no, not interested in making more at this point in my life, thank you!). Love listening to music - most kinds but a strong preference toward jazz. I once played guitar, and have began playing a little again. I love to laugh and do so easily. I like to bike - it's about time my mountain bike got back on some good trails! I enjoy food, everything from a casual pub burger to a fine dining experience (you wouldn't know it to look at me... I'm in the best shape I've been in for years! I am in awe with the world around me and love the outdoors. Looking forward to becoming reacquainted with her mountains, oceans, cities and towns. The feel and smell of the air... everything she has to offer. I am spiritual, but not religious. Brought up Catholic and am grateful for the experience, but no longer into organized religion. I respect your faith, I ask that you respect mine. I am a gentleman. Doors will be opened for you. My coat will be on your shoulders if there is rain or cold. I will treat you and everybody else with respect. I am a nice guy. That seems to mean different things to different women, but take it for what it is. And although every woman seems to say they WANT a nice guy, I've met very few - including some of my best friends - who know what to do with one once they're found him.I am a relationship kind of person and was never a big fan of the whole dating game. I'm a one woman man and, although I don't NEED one to complete me, it would sure be nice to have one with whom to share life's moments. I ultimately want a relationship, but realize the importance of taking it slow, initially. No need to rush into anything...I am a quality work in progress. If you want a guy who says he's got it all figured out and is as good as he's going to be, I'm not him. Something to be very mindful of... I am currently a student, and working my ass off at multiple jobs to better myself. I'm making sacrifices now, to live better later. Have faith and give love a chance. You won't be disappointed. If you want to come along for a great ride, then this should be a good one! So many interests and open to new experiences. I felt it more important to put out there where I'm at, and where I'm going rather than a laundry list of hobbies, wants and restrictions. Ask me anything, and you'll get a truthful answer.(Seriously, ladies, give me a try! Nothing to lose... who knows, you might really like me!) The first thing that comes to mind, is taking a couple hours out of the day to get to know each other. I've been out of the area for a while so would like you to show me your favorite things that the area has to offer. Let's go to the mountains or the beach, museum or flea market, darts and beer at a local pub or a fine wine tasting. Hike or bike or sit and enjoy the scenery. If that day goes well, then next date, I'll cook you dinner. (No, I don't mean dragging you to my "lair" alone even though we've only known each other just a few hours...-..!) We can shop together (I love grocery shopping I consider it the foreplay of dining!), I'll cook you one of my favorite dishes, or if you prefer you can challenge me to create something you like. Grab a nice bottle of wine or a six-pack of microbrews. Enjoy a good meal and each other for the evening. Part ways (or not...) with a nice kiss, and take it up again the next time!
