I am looking forward to meeting a female companion that, first of all, I can call my "best friend" before anything else, and who, among other things, would enjoy sharing outdoor fun activities, as well as social functions, and, of course, last but not least, romance and love, as a couple. I am real, not into the bar scene, or playing "head games" with anyone's emotions. I love to chat, but I am also a very good listener and enjoy "in-depth" conversations. I believe that the simple things in life can give us the most pleasure. For example, a simple walk and talk holding hands can mean a lot. I may not be a world traveller, but I do enjoy going on road trips to different cities to shop or see the sites. I especially enjoy the outdoors, and love to ATV in summer and snowmobile in the winter because it gets me out exploring the beautiful country we have right here in our own back yard, and photographing it. When out ATVing one time in early Spring, I came across two abandoned 3 week old kittens on a railbed, that were freezing to death - brought them home, took them to the vet, nursed them back to health, and now they are healthy and playful brother and sister kittens. I never thought I would end up with two kittens, I was always a dog lover, but they are cute, fun to watch play together, and good company. I also like the finer things in life like theatre, fine dining, and attending various organized social events. Overall, I hope to find someone that is down to earth, healthy, and has a good personality so that we can compliment each other. I have been told that I don't look my age as you would see if you met me, and people have guessed my age to be in the forties, I consider myself an average looker, I am in good health (take no meds or pills), active, a non-smoker, social drinker if at all, never did drugs, and no tatoos. So, if you share some of my thoughts and think we may have some compatibility, I would be happy to hear from you! I enjoy carpentry, mechanics, working in the yard,traveling, shopping, parks, country fairs, down to earth people, place & things, I am fortunate to have a great deal of common sense that enables me to grasp many aspects of life's problems with ease and deal with them appropriately, giving me the time to enjoy the smaller important gifts that life hands me. Ex Canadian soldier that has retired after 21 years of service to Queen and Country. I have seen all of the best and worst that the world has to offer. On that note, there are a few standard's of life that I will not change in myself and hope that you in your own way will have them as well. They are Honesty, Personal Integrity, Honor. A wonderful person will extend that to all those around them.So at this point in my life I work in construction building natural gas pipeline's.Right now I am looking for someone to share my free time with. Catch a movie(yes I dig "chick flick's" too), the occasional dinner out, art gallery,or just a coffee or drink some where that we can enjoy each other's company and bond as two separate people(as I read this last part it is missing something. But I hope you understand). A movie(your choice) is the start( there is just something about sharing a large popcorn). Follow this by a quiet candle light dinner followed by some quality time together dancing or just hanging in a coffee house. End of the evening,I will drive you home( or where ever),walk you up to the door,hold your hands, a kiss most softly on the cheek, a thank you for a wonderful evening, with eye's closed, a nod of my head, And I drive away a far richer man.
