I don't watch a lot of TV, but really only watch documentary or practical programmes when I do. I like old sit-coms, too. Well, what to say? Hmmm. These things are always tricky! Someone once described me as 'rather normal' and, to be frank, that didn't please me as it just sounded like I was plain and boring. I am not your 'normal' blokey bloke as I don't spend countless hours down the pub with my mates and I have little interest in football. A country pub with some female company is much more my style. Now I'm a fully qualified referee and am out on the field most weekends during the season., it's just one of the many things I am passionate about. For ***, I have five guitars which unfortunately doesn't make me an expert musician but I do love to play most days for pleasure. I have just treated myself to a BMW K***GT motorcycle and go touring on it from time to time.I've been separated for over two years now and my twin sons of 25 have finally flown the nest! I'm now helping them to get onto the property ladder which leaves just Frank and me now. Frank? Yes, my huge great brown Labradoodle who is my best mate and keeps me very fit all year round. That might sound a bit weird to non-doggie people but he's a constant in my life so it might be a case of 'love me, love my dog'.I'm reasonably well off having been a civil servant for many years. I dislike dishonesty and 'games' but I'm reasonably easy-going. I'm told by friends that I know lots of useless facts and information and they also say I have a witty and mildly sarcastic sense of humour. I don't read fiction but have 100s of books so that is perhaps where I get my interests from, or vice versa!I'm looking for a soul-mate, someone to fall in love with. Maybe that's too much to ask but, hey, lets aim high. First date? Well, somewhere public obviously! Maybe a drink in a bar or a walk by a river. Just to get to know each other a little I guess.
