Man. 51 years old. Zodiac sign: Leo.
Looking for: woman. In age: 48-58
I'm a very young 51. Very very. And let me say first that I wish meetville would give me more choices. Seems like it's either Nothing Serious or Love of My Life. There's a lot of good to be had between those two things. Maybe our relationship is supposed to be one night or two weeks or the time it takes to have a drink. So I'm looking for whatever comes. Anyway. I'm a very young 51. I'm outdoorsy and urban in almost equal measure, though I lean urban. I'm an athletic, creative guy with a bookish, scientist alter ego. I read every day and spend time on growth and spirituality, but I'm not even close to a hippie. I'm edgy and quirky and not like other boys in ways you have to see to judge. I'm a bit of a loner whose openness and willingness to share might alarm you, but I'm not a creepy over-sharer. I break a lot of rules (mostly little ones, but occasionally some pretty big ones). I'm kind of a party animal or batsh*t crazy, depending on perspective, but I'm mostly not wearing a lamp shade. I'm outgoing. I have a lot of friends from various walks of life, but I don't really stick to one group. Social butterfly? Idk.I've traveled a lot (25ish countries, 40 states) and lived on three continents. Do I hear four? I speak some Spanish and German. I'm passionate and energetic, which some people interpret as brash. Feel free to slap me down. I mean no harm, and my ego welcomes reality checks ;) My loyalty and altruism verge on self-destructive.Make me laugh, please :) I find humor everywhere, including my dad's funeral. Curiosity keeps me alive, largely. I've been known to stop along the road to look at birds or trees or rocks or historical markers. I gave away my TV, but I'll watch any movie and find something to like about it.I try to surround myself with people who keep moving and looking ahead. I volunteer teaching and mentoring high school journalists. I try hard to be grateful and positive, even on bad days. I've been on a sort of spiritual divestiture trip for the past few years, sold and/or gave away a house full of stuff, then sold my truck and got a motorcycle. I don't own a house and don't want one. It's not a stretch to see myself living out of a truck on the road for a couple months in the coming year, writing and shooting short documentaries. Being a freelance journalist offers potential for that kind of freedom. I write for a national news organization, so my job is very unpredictable. So am I. When people f*ck up, I work. When they don't, I try to camp or travel or ride a bike or watch clouds ;)I work out regularly, but I'm not a body builder. I'm all Type I muscle fiber - a runner/cyclist. I'm not a health fanatic, but I'm very physically aware. I was an Army medic for six years (pre-war, no combat), and I took a year off recently to study exercise science. I eat meat these days (wtf?) and have a drink or two most days – but working out and eating right are in my routine. I'm not against spending an hour making dinner every night, but I'd rather cook with you than for you. I prefer food without labels. If you've read this far, you deserve to know that I smoke pot *gasp* I have a medical card, and I make part of my living writing about it. I'm not a stoner.I'm a jeans and T-shirt guy, mostly, but I know how to look sharp as needed. Dockers scare me, especially the pleated ones.I would love to find someone who has traveled a lot and wants to see more. I'm extremely multifaceted and highly educated, so I need the same in a partner. Please don't take yourself too seriously, because I won't ;) I'm attracted to people who are amazed every day, grateful and try hard not to be fake. If you want a man to take care of you, I am not your guy. Do you f*ck like a wild animal? Do you want to go drink at 8 a.m. in a horrible dive bar, just to say you did it? Do you ever think about selling everything you own and moving to South America? Do you love your tent and sleeping bag as if they were pets? Can you pee anywhere? That all depends on who you are ;)
