I am creating my own reality (I think) enjoying a busy fascinating life in and around this wonderful community, where, among other things, I am up to my armpits in Town government. I love my family, my work, my farm, my friends, and the prospect of the mysterious future.I raise my own beef, chicken, and eggs, and buy or grow organic veggies, without being a fanatic about it. (The Cool Whip I ate as a child seems to have had no observable negative effects.) I enjoy gardening, especially in Spring as everything wakes up. I have moved the goldfish from the cellar to the pond in the garden; so far they have been safe from otters and herons.I make furniture and restore antiques as my main gig.I am not at all promiscuous. When I commit to a friendship or a lover, I am , and have been, loyal past a reasonable extreme.I foster a basic optimism about all things, having experienced enough to understand that everything is working as it should. I would like a first date with an intelligent self-respecting soul who shares my approach to life. Someone who is self-aware, or working on it; who looks mostly on the bright side.     Let's see. Where to begin? I consider myself very grounded. My friends consider me to be super easy going and dependable. My godsons get a lot of my free time between baseball practice and other school events. They are the "kids" that I never had I suppose. Great guys! I'm a weekend warrior with house projects.     I am a nice guy- get along with most people. I am pretty positive in my outlook on life. My spirtual life is important to me. My partner doesn't have to go with me but that would be ideal.
