I lost my husband of 26 years to Cancer and am interested in honoring his wish for me to find happiness and open my heart to someone new. I love to dance, work out, walk and jog, watch movies, TV, and I love all genres of music. Oh, and family is always very important, mine and yours! On a first date, I like to get to know someone by asking a few questions and watch the way they interact with others. You can tell a lot about someone by the way they speak with waiters/waitresses or people in the service industry. I enjoy laughing and having fun, but I also like to look into the eyes of the person sitting next to me or in front of me and hear what they have to say about life, family and thier personal goals. I would love to hear about your dreams, your accomplishments and your losses. Everyone gets real when they talk about their own struggles, so honesty is a characteristic that I greatly admire. I take life seriously but I also know that having a sense of humor is how we ideally cope with adversity. I enjoy eating just about any type of food that you could put in front of me, so you choose the restaraunt and I will try whatever is on the menu (almost anything) I'm adventurous but not foolish. After dinner, we could take another stroll through a park or the center of town, looking through store windows and share our desires with one another. I come from a unique and loving family, but we have had our problems. I will share the funny and the not so funny stories with you, can you do the same? Once we go our separate ways, I love when someone calls or texts to let me know they are home safe and sound. It gives us an opportunity to tell that other person how we felt as we drove away to our homes. It kind of builds up the excitement for a possible second date! Will I kiss on the first date? I'm pretty sure I would be open to that, but ultimately, it has to be mutual and not awkward. So if there is awkwardness, I can wait until we are both feeling it!
