About Me

For now, I'm in my bicycle phase:Recently I rebuilt a ***'s Nishiki bicycle, a fast lightweight bike. I also have a ***'s Schwinn Bicycle which I rebuilt too; it's dressed-out with plenty of cargo bags for errands-running, groceries and things like that. I enjoy disassembling every little part of these bikes... doing a total reconditioning. I love riding; and, I enjoy volunteering at a local bike recyclery, helping others learn to build and repair their own bikes. Building large sculptures has been a large part of my life. Restoring antique furniture was a passion for about a decade. Working with children with disabilities and challenging behaviors happen for more than a few years. House sitting and volunteering for the Forest Service was fun for a while. These days, bicycles and exercise seem to be primary interests.Aspirations: Actively pursuing a journey of Being as Mindful, Open, Understanding, and Peaceful as humanly possible, Being in the Flow, and Becoming a great friend to an extraordinarily down-to-earth, bright, creative partner who will enjoy me for who I am.Interests: Being outdoors: Hiking and Camping, especially around water, Being indoors: Cooking, especially with the Wok, Reading, especially about ancient times or new discoveries, Volunteering at the community Bike Recyclery, and keeping-up with current local and global affairs.Hobbies: Arts and Crafts, Researching vintage items I find in thrift stores and here-n-there, Maintaining my van and camping gear, and Cooking.Goals: Van Camping as much as possible, here in these mountains and along the coast…Music: Classical, Rock-n-roll, New age, just about anything except Old Time and Rap. I'd suggest a nice sidewalk table downtown with coffee or tea and a good view for some fine people watching, a place where we can talk and get a sense of each other. Something simple and easy.
