About Me

I am an intellectual and a deep thinker. I'm an informal student of philosophy and someone who always asks why? I consider myself a dichotomy, in that, for all of my intelligence I am in a job that requires very little. My job is to protect the country that I love and the people who live in it. I am an infantryman in the US Army and I am proud of what I do. Sure I sometimes complain about the job itself, but it gives me a sense of honor and dignity. My hobbies are varied, I like: reading (of course), writing (though I don't stick with it), working out, swimming, watching movies, camping, telling jokes, and having long conversations about nothing. Goal wise I want to become a history teacher or maybe a political science professor. I'm not quite sure, but I really would like to teach. I guess I will see how things play out. Anyways, as I said before, I love to tell jokes and make people laugh. Whether it is intentional or inadvertently. I feel that the world is full of humor and that everything can be funny if you just look at it the right way. But don't let my lightheartedness fool you, I consider myself a realist and I am very blunt in my views. Still I have a live and let live attitude so if you are an idealist don't be scared I won't bite...too hard anyways. I love all types of music, but I prefer rock and classical. Rock when I'm working out and need to get the adrenaline flowing and classical to help soothe my mind and allow me to think. I love watching college football because I believe they play with more heart. GO BIG RED! Dinner and a movie are quite cliche, but doable, because at its heart a cliche is as such because it has worked before. Still doing something out of the ordinary or spontaneous is more to my liking. Hiking, laser tag, or a picnic would be more agreeable date ideas.
